I was lost for words at his sudden query. I am battling against my mind if I should tell him the truth or would delay revealing to him about what I truly feel for him until he regains his lost memory. This war inside my head was shortened when he spoke again.
"Never mind what I just asked, just answer this question for me" He spoke the words with void emotions. "How long have you known Lucy? What's your connection with her and my connection to her?"
At the mention of her name, thoughts of her coming here and talking to him recently immediately drop me into conclusion. She must have said hundreds of lies just to win him and make him believe. The thought sickened me as I gazed back at him.
"Lucy was my best friend. She was my childhood buddy and the one I confided to before with almost everything."
