I was alone and all by myself inside the intensive care unit with Gabriel after the staff had left. The Director and owner of Saint Michael's Hospital gave us an exclusive privilege, with the old man's massive connections, to view Gabriel and be with him in a much closer perspective.
Being this close to him and being able to touch him somehow eases the heavy burden wrapping inside my heart. Although Gabriel was still in a critical state and was still fighting for his life, a tiny part inside of me was relieved that I could fully be by his side to support him in his condition.
