Chapter 66 - TORN

The call I received from Angelou practically alarmed me. Although it was just mere hunches, a feeling of suspicion certainly couldn't mean nothing, but there was indeed a possibility. I neglected to think about that probability when I doubted the truthfulness of Lucy's claim. I only thought that the one she's carrying wasn't mine. It didn't enter my mind that perhaps her claim wasn't true, that she wasn't pregnant at all, and just created an illusion of it for her advantage. 

Now that my wife has brought it out, it gave me a much deeper thought that it might be possible. Lucy has a trademark of being a schemer. She also has a whatever-it -takes attitude. Whereas if she wanted to acquire something, she would do anything regardless of what the stake was and against the odds, as long as she perceived it. That's the way I see her.
