The next morning I got up and dressed. Had to do my lessons as promised. After my lessons I had a bit of a break and went to see my big brother sora.
"Hey Sora." "Oh hey little brother. What's up?" "Can you hang out a bit? When do you go back?" "Oh I go back in about a few days. You want to hang out?" "Yes please. Lets go." We went outside to the training ground. I went to put on some gear and he did too. "I know you're a good ninja, lets see how well you are at sword fighting big bro." Then someone walked in. It was the master of the training grounds. "Oh sparring huh? Want me to watch you both?" "Yeah in fact you can tell us when to go. The first one to give or can't get up looses." "Ok then. Ready? Get in position. Now Go!" It started almost instantly.
The battle went on for an hour and still going strong. We didn't hear anyone else come in. People just get showing up. Then it was awhile and both of us were slowing down. I started getting the upper hand, or I thought I was until my brother pinned me. Damn him. I hate his strength. "Ok fine. I admit defeat." He put his hand out for me to grab. I grabbed it and he helped me up asking if I was ok. "I think I might need to sit down for a moment." "Yeah here you go." "Thanks." I was still breathing hard trying to catch my breath. I saw Hazel coming over to me. "Oh God. Hazel." "Hey are you ok?" "Yeah I will be. Ow. He really got my shoulder. He's just too strong for me. Cough Cough." "Hey breathe. Its ok. Take deep breathes and calm your breathing." I was having difficulty but finally managed after a while. "Now that you are good, both you boys go take a shower. You both stink." "Haha ok my princess." I joke bowed.
After we took our showers and changed, It was time for work again. Hazel walked with me to my study. "You know Hazel, sometimes I wish I were sick. That way I could have a long break. Even a vacation would be nice. I mean I know we are in a year but I need like a week or two of a break. I'll go crazy." "OK. Go do your work and I'll take to the King." "Thanks Hazel." I kissed her on the cheek and she rolled her eyes. I happily went to my study room.
"Is the King in his study?" "Yes he is. Do you have business with him?" "Yes I do." "OK then. Go on in." "Thank you." "Your majesty." She bowed. "Oh Hazel. Come right in. Is something the matter?" "Well its like this. Its been a long time since Cace had any time off. Is there a chance maybe we can have a week off to rest?" "Hmm. I think I might have a plan. Could you work with me here?" "Sure. What is it?" Then he told Hazel the plan of what he wanted them to do for there vacation. "Oh ok. Sounds good. That way he won't know he is working, because he would have fun doing it! That's brilliant! When is this?" "Next week." "OK then. I'll let him know ab out the "Vacation" we are going on." So she waited a bit until he was done with lessons.
Once I was done with lessons, I was told Hazel was waiting for me. She was in the garden. So I walked there and saw her reading a book. "Hazel?" "Oh Cace. Come sit down." So I did and she said, "So I talked with the king. He said next week we can have the week off. It's a surprise on where we are going though. I even have no idea. Yes we. We are both going." "Hmm. I see. Probably expecting an early heir to the throne maybe." "I don't think that is it. But if it happens its fine too." I saw her blush. I cleared my throat. "Anyway. What should we bring?" "He said he would tell us the day before." "OK then. Awesome. Can't wait." So we sat there and I decided to randomly sing something. "In the night when I was sleeping, I saw you in my dreams…." Then Hazel heard and she seemed to be shocked. "You have got to be kidding me Cace! You can sing?! You didn't tell me!" "Woah I only sang for the others in the Orphanage. Not for the whole world. Just an ordinary Prince at that. Uncle Leo said I could decide what I wanted to do." "Well for starters finish training with mom, then I don't know after that. Lets figure this out after we get married." "Oh yeah. Another thing. Um. Well, I was thinking. When we do get married, I would like to adopt a couple of boys and girls from the orphanages. I also want a couple blood siblings." "We will see. Lets have two of our own, then maybe adopt 1 boy and girl. Depending on if they are twins we can get 3 ok? I can old care for 5 at the most." "OK thanks Hazel. Hey maybe we will find a few that are wizards or witches." "Haha cute but they have special orphanages for that." Then it was time to go. I went back up to my room feeling a little off. I don't know why. I went out and asked one of the guards to get someone to get Mysteria. It was urgent. "Dammit! I couldn't make it to my bed." Then he blacked out.
Mysteria knocked. (Knock Knock) There was on response. She opened the door and saw Cace on the ground. "Cace! Hey Cace! Can you hear me?!" Still nothing. She saw his chest rising so she knew he was still breathing. She picked him up and laid him on the bed.
Mysteria put her hand on his forehead and realized it was something serious. "Oh no. Who the Hell would do this to him?!" Mysteria had someone get Hazel and fast. Hazel came within a few minutes. "Mom! What's wrong?! What happened to Cace?!" "This is serious Hazel. Now I want you to stay calm and listen. Cace has been spelled. This is a serious one. Go get me my book of spells on sickness and curses. Maybe we can find out what happened." "Yes mom." She teleported to her moms study and found the book. She also saw a picture. It was a pair of twin babies. "Could this be Cace and Keely? Lets worry about getting him well first. Ask questions later." Then she teleported back with the book.
"Oh good your finally here. He looks worse. Stay with him until I can find out what happened." She looked in the book at curses, then she turned Cace over and saw a curse mark on his back. "Just as I thought. Now lets look at curses. Oh and if there are any changes let me know. It might help me know it better." "Yes mom. He is sweating badly. Was he doing that before?" "Yes he was." Then she looked at her book from chapter to chapter and finally found what it could be. "I think I've found it." Hazel ran to her mom and looked with her. "Look here. It says this curse will work until its broken by….I see. So he is having trouble letting go of his past. That is why he is like this. He won't die, just that he will be like this at night. In the morning he will be fine." "But why night? Its just strange." "Yeah I know Hazel. We need to find out who did this to him. They could be a danger to him as well. I didn't tell them because I was told not to say so I said, "No I don't. I see so this curse only happens at night, and the day I'm normal." "I wish it was the other way around but oh well." "Cace! You should never wish to be cursed!" said Hazel. "Woah sorry. I was just joking." "Sorry I didn't mean to yell. Its just I was curse once. Mom had to get me uncursed. Its not something I want to talk about right now, but maybe some other time." "Ok." I said in a strained tone. "What the hell is this curse called anyway? Why did they set it on me?" "To have you stop dwelling on the past." "Sigh. I see. Its someone who knows me then. You know its funny. Tommorrow is my birthday. The anniversary of when everything happens. When I started feeling weird is about the same time I was left by the cave with my sister and sora. Get me Sora. Fast. Also can someone please see if you can find my sister. Tell her its urgent. "Hey its going to be ok Cace." I hope this is all it is. Just a curse and not something else. No I need to stay conscious until they get here. Hazel, do you have something that can keep me conscious until they get here and I talk to them?" "I don't know until mom gets here." I tried sitting up but I slipped back down on the bed. "Can you help me sit up?" "Yeah." She put pillows behind me and sat me up. "Groan. Thanks." "Are you ok?" "Yeah I'll be fine."
We heard a door banged open. "Woah. You scared the crap out of me Sora." "Sorry. I heard you weren't feeling well." "Yeah a stupid curse. It will be on me until I stop dwelling on the past. I mean I know sis and I were babies and you were a 3 year old but something is strange. I can't put my finger on it. The man that killed dad. I think someone else was behind it. Call me when you are done." Once everyone was gone, it was just me and sister.

I was almost falling asleep when she came in with food. "Hey Cace. You should eat some porridge before you fall asleep." "I'm not hungry. Too tired to eat." Then out he went. "Oh well. I'll just warm it up later when you are hungry." She kissed his forehead and sat with him the whole night.
The next morning, I felt someone holding my hand. I looked down and saw it was Hazel. I smiled. 'Thanks Hazel.' I said in my head. "Hazel. I'm up now." She lifted her head and saw I was ok. "Good. You look fine now. I'm going to get some rest in my room now. Oh and happy birthday." "Thanks Hazel." When she left, I got ready for the day.
I was feeling so energetic now that I wasn't sick. I can actually have a day off from all the work I had to do. So I decided to head out to the forest. I actually snuck out. It was just me.
I saw some of my old animal friends from before. "Oh hello there. How have you all been doing since the incident?" The fox came up. "We have been doing much better. Thank you for the help Cace."
