Her gaze met mine, her eyes searching for something. "Your Highness, may I ask for a favour?" she said, her voice soft and hesitant.
I nodded, my curiosity piqued. "Sure, what is it?"
She took a deep breath before speaking. "Can you take care of Leon for me while I'm gone?"
My eyes narrowed, my mind racing with questions. "And where are you going?" I asked my voice firm but controlled.
Her gaze dropped, her eyes avoiding mine. "I'm going somewhere," she said, vaguely. "I'll be back in a few days."
I felt a surge of concern, my instincts screaming at me to stop her. But I knew her, knew that once she had made up her mind, she would not be swayed.
"I can't take Leon to where I'm going," she continued her voice barely above a whisper. "It'll be difficult for him there."
I nodded, my mind racing with possibilities. I knew that she was planning something, something that she didn't want this Leon to be a part of.
