"Lily, do you think Lady Astrid will attend the Viscountess Weldon's gala?" I asked, fidgeting with excitement.
"Undoubtedly, my lady," Lily replied. "As the biggest event of spring, Lady Astrid would surely have received an invitation."
Lily's expression turned thoughtful. "Speaking of which, have you considered who will escort you? It's customary to have a chaperone at such events."
I hesitated, unsure. "I hadn't thought that far."
Lily's eyes sparkled. "You should ask His Grace, Lucifer! Who better to escort you than your own father?"
The spirits, sensing my uncertainty, chimed in. "Master, you should ask Lucifer to be your escort.
Emboldened, I knocked on Lucifer's door.
"Enter," his deep voice called out.
I stepped inside, finding Lucifer seated at his desk. "Father, I have a request."
