Chapter 16 - 16. Princess Chusi (2)

He greeted his father and make his way to his special seat, trying his best to avoid the contact of those women as the try to approach him. He would really like to scowl at some of them or maybe claw some in the face to stop the others from throwing themselves at him.

But that will be rude considering his father was the one that invited them all to this banquet.

He would have been angry with his father if it hadn't been that he'd hoped to all the gods that his mate would be among the ladies attending since the Magic stone was going to appear. But now that the rumor has been proven to be false, he really wished he'd known about it in time and stop his father from inviting them all.

Now would have to endurehe had to thier nauseatingly lewd faces and their disgusting smells. He wondered if some of them had doused themselves in a tub full of perfume before attending the banquet. Their scents mixed together was extremely suffocating.

Oh heavens! Levi tried to breath.

How was he going to get through tonight if he was already finding it difficult to stand their presence? He wished Finn was here with him. That way, it would have been easier. He poured himself a glass of red wine and downed it in one go to keep him sane.

Finn. Oh how he missed Finn.

Finn was the crownprince of the Lunarian kingdom a vast floating island in the sky, occupied with another race of the winged tribe, who are distinguishable for their brown skin, white hair, back wings and plumes of flames on their back that they can call at will.

He was Levi's best friend and brother, partner in crime since they were young. They had done so much together, exploring the sky kingdom and traveling the other realms too. Finn was Jovial and outgoing and ladies loved him.

If he was here now, Levi knew he would have laughed at him to see him trying to keep his cool in the face of these troublesome women because he knew how much Levi hates these kind of parties especially when ladies drool over him like that.

But Finn was not here and he has not seen him again ever since the Sky kingdom has been sealed. And that was fifteen years ago, ever since Vader had waged that stupid war against them.

Everything was fine with them until Vader.

Vader! It was that stupid Vader that spoiled everything. Levi swore once he gets his hands on him, he'll make sure Vader dies a slow painful death.

Levi gritted his teeth and gulped down another glass of wine.

But then, his thoughts wandered to the slave he'd bought at the auction tonight and he felt a strange feeling in his chest.

That slave had looked oddly familiar to him. Why is that? where has he seen that face before, anyway?

He tried to think but came up empty.

Why had he even acted so impulsively and bought her? It's not like he needed a slave but he couldn't just...Levi's thoughts was interrupted by yet another weird scent, but this time this one is extremely strong.

What the hell? He closed his eyes for a minute.

His mood has already taken a nose dive since the auction but now some stupid girl just has to come test his patience. Levi cursed under his breath as he opened his eyes again and look down, only to find a dark haired girl that won't be more than eighteen years old seating across from him smiling brilliantly.

That's it, He finally snapped.

He'd had enough!

He leveled her with a deathly stare, his eyes glowing a fierce white and growled so dangerously loud at her so much that the tables and ground shook.

Chusi froze on the seat, terrified.

"Jasper" Levi boomed. "Throw her out. Now!"

Everybody stilled, their attention drawned to Levi's table, who looked like he was ready to pounce at any moment, while the girl in front of him was shaking like a leaf now with eyes as wide as saucers.

Jasper rushed forward but Rex stopped him before he could grab the girl.

"Levi! stop growling at the poor girl, you're going to scare her." Rex and King Drake approached their seat.

Levi doesn't move. His murderous eyes still on the girl.

"She's princess Chusi."

"And who the fuck is that, father? and why should I care? how dare she just wallow her way in here and sit in front of me like that without invitation?"

"Language, Levi!" Rex admonished his son.

But Levi was still glaring at her.

He could feel her fear, yet he could smell her arousal get stronger as well. How could someone be so disgusting? afraid and aroused at the same time?

All the other girls in the hall sneakered. Serves her right to be so forward!

They'd also like to get together with Levi but they're too afraid to approach him just anyhow.

Some of the Kings and princes smirked murmuring among themselves. They also would like to approach him for their daughters but they couldn't act rashly since Levi's father hasn't said anything about choosing a mate for his son yet. He only invited their daughters to come. They can't be too forward or they might incure the wrath of the Azuran king himself if they're not careful. Which they know ,would not be good for them in anyway.

Kieran watched frozen where he stood. She had left him to hurry after Levi while he was talking to her but he'd failed to stop her in time. Now he could only watch from afar. He wouldn't dare make a fuss in the presence of the Azure king, especially not when he's obviously pissed.

"I'm sorry, King Levi. I'm King Drake of Seggotan Kingdom and this is Chusi, my daughter. I believed your father must have told you about her before." King Drake who was afraid her daughter might have blown her chance, hastily replied to make amends and bowed to Levi.

Levi stood up in courtesy and bowed back "I know who you are King Drake, but this is your daughter? has no one ever taught her how to act like a Lady in public?." Levi was more pissed when he heard she was the seggotan princess, especially when he remember the impending engagement.

He couldn't believe this stupid princess was the one his father had chosen for him and the fact that his mate was still nowhere to be found was was slowly driving him crazy, even though he was just trying to act normal.

King Drake's face heated up in embarrassment. "I'm sorry King Levi. I guess she was just too excited about the engagement and failed to restrain herself when she saw you for the first time." He glance at his daughter and glared at her.

He was so angry that he could snap her neck right now. He couldn't believe after everything they've taught her she would still go ahead and make such a blunder of things even before it started.

Such a stupid girl!

"I'll make sure to teach her more strictly in the future."

Levi looked at the father and daughter and then decided to reigned in his emotions for the sake of his own father and sat back down. His father was the one who invited them here. He doesn't want to cause a rift between the kingdoms, although not that he's afraid of a fight. He just doesn't want to have some unnecessary war right now when Vader is begining to make his move. So he'll just have to tolerate this people for now and find a chance to get himself out of the fucking engagement later.

King drake gesture for her daughter to quickly apologize.

"I'm really sorry, your majesty. I was just so eager to meet you that i make such a blunder. I promise to be more careful in the future." Chusi finally said with a bow after getting past her terrified state.

Levi scoffed, his face a chilling cold mask.

Stupid girl, there will be no future between them.

Chusi was so utterly embarrassed by Levi's reaction. She thought he must have heard about her already but it so happened that the man she was supposed to be engaged to doesn't even give a fuck.

Had her father made a mistake? She wished the ground would just opened for her to hide in right now. She blamed herself for being so reckless even though she'd initially promised to play it cool infact her father was supposed to be the one to introduce her to him first but the sight of him has sent her running after him before she could even realized what she was doing.

Chusi bit her lip in frustration but kept her cool, she had to keep up the image of the gentle princess she was.
