Jin Ryutaro, was a very normal man. He was in his late twenties and worked in a small company. Most of hid time was spent in typing reports for his company. He rarely got any time to enjoy himself or follow his hobbies. As for hobbies he had two of them. One was to try to eat different types of food and the other was to read manga if he got any respite at all.
Jin was pretty punctual at work. He used to come as early as nine o'clock and left at nine o'clock at night. His parents had continuously told him to marry, but he wanted to live a life of freedom.
One day he was going to his office. He stopped at a crossing to cross the street. Beside him was a kid who was playing with a small ball. At one point the kid dropped the ball and it rolled onto the road. The kid followed the ball and went upon the road.
By this time the child's mother and a few other people including Jin had noticed the child. They started to shout at the child to bring her back. However the child was focused on the ball so nothing happened. Jin saw a truck coming towards the child from a distance. He ran towards the child and grabbed her. He then pushed her out of the road. Unfortunately when he pushed the child as a reaction he fell on the other way.
The truck hit him and he rolled over. For a moment he felt unbearable pain throughout his body. Then it all pain ceased. It seemed like he was ascending. For a long time he was ascending, HD lost his sense of time.
Suddenly he felt being pulled at a direction. That direction he saw a large amount of light shining all around. He got blinded by the light as he was pulled in. After sometime he opened his eyes. In front of him at a distance was standing a woman dressed in white with her face was covered with a white veil.
The woman in white clothes spoke to him :
" I think you understand what happened to you ? You died in accident. However if you wish I can allow your reincarnation in a different world. I have already discussed about your reincarnation with the gods of Earth. So do you want to be reincarnated ?"
" Wait, who are you ? I know that I am dead. But when it comes to reincarnation will I get any special powers or not ? I will decide after you answer. " said Jun.
" I am Goddess Fina, the Goddess of reincarnation and fertility in a different world. As for powers you will get physical strength as well as talent in swordsmanship. After reincarnation in that world you may gain many more powers. Obviously you will be able to speak and understand all languages of that world. You will get to use your powers from the age of five. " said the Goddess.
" Doesn't sound very appealing. I will appreciate if you do grant me appraisal skills if possible. " said Jun. In his mind he did want to be reincarnated but his questions and demands could derail that chance.
" Is that all ? Alright I will ensure that you have appraisal skills, are born into a healthy body and born into a family where you will have significant freedom. Are you satisfied ? If so then I will proceed with the reincarnation. " said the Goddess.
" Well, I think it's alright. Afterall I just look forward to the food of that world. I don't wish to adventure much. " replied Jun.
After that the light surrounding him went out and he felt like falling down. Then everything went dark. Opening his eyes he saw that he had tiny hands and a tiny body. He looked around and saw that he was lying in a cot.
He had finally got reincarnated in a different world.
