When on the way she decided to say, "by the way your eyes are beautiful," as she then covered her mouth as she chuckled. I looked at her surprised at that sudden outburst. She then added, "you are all red, is it my comment?" then she chuckled a bit more.
When we arrived at an underground arcade, she got hyped as she wanted to try all of the games there. She was just as joyful as a kid on his first day at an arcade.
"Is it your first time at an arcade?" I joked.
"Yea, my bodyguard doesn't let me," she frowned.
"Why do you have a body guard anyways?" I asked.
"I you beat me at a game of my choosing then I will answer that question but if not, you will agree to my demands deal?"
Feeling confident with my capabilities, I accepted her conditions. She then proceeded to choose a game that had a competition that was about to start at the arcade that day. The games had a way of remembering your progress using gamer ids, so we luckily had ours and logged in and the tournament began.
The tournament wasn't that big and the players were pretty noobs or is it that I had an epic rare character that was near impossible to get. I was a gamer back in the day before wanting to make my own creating the path that am following today which was being a software engineer. Surprisingly Marlena had the same character pack so she was holding her own until we finally met at the finals.
*Boom*
Came from the entrance as a smoke bomb was thrown making everyone's hearts jump as if wanting to escape. Out from the smoke came out a tall slender guy with brown hair and wore round glasses and had a fur coat.
"Make way for the one and only king of games, me, Laban," he announced as the crowd cheered and jeered for him. The people who were waiting for the finals went to see him. Marlena looked at me with a confused and annoyed expression intermeshed on her face.
That Laban guy came up to us and challenged the both of us to a 2v1 fight against him and his three minions were hyping it up. I looked at Marlena and she shook her head as she then looked away from Laban.
"Is your girlfriend here afraid of me? What if we do this, if I win, I take your girl and if you win you can ask for anything you want?" he suggested.
Marlena looked disgusted at his idea and refused before Laban got a hold of her face by the cheeks and teased her. I slapped his hands of her and got ready for a showdown of fists if it led to that.
"Feisty huh? Wanna take it to the game?" he said as he waved his golden controller. Marlena got mad and slapped it out of his hands as she agreed. One of Laban's minions was able to catch his controller before it touched the ground and Laban got slightly pissed and declared war (in game obviously)
Marlena put her offer aside for us to team up against it. The crowd got wild before the match started. They were not sure who would actually win. The air was dense and full of tense. Laban logged in his gamer tag and revealed his basic character despite his big talk. I wasn't sure what to expect.
