Chapter 33 - CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE: THE TRUTH 2

"You already know the truth but you just don't see it".

I hissed.

Sometimes, the old lady usually said things that are beyond my understanding. But I do try to understand everything she usually says.

"Let's go in. There are some people you have to meet, they will answer all the questions you have been asking me"

Old lady Papirus walked into the temple through the huge entrance that was held by pillars. These pillars were designed magestically with snake figures making the pillars look ancient.

I followed the old lady into the temple with cautious steps, making sure the area was safe. Especially since I could feel raw energy all around and the raw energy was quite strong. The temple was a lot quiet and it was just the way it was when I saw it in my dream.

I could remember vividly in my dream that there were five statues in the temple. Two statues were at the left while two other statues were on the right. The last statue stood at the far end of the temple and right in front of the statue was an old table.

On the table were fetish things that exuded ancient snake power. There was an old pot that had in it an incense. It was from that pot that the black Cobra had crawled out from.

"You remember this place from your dream. I'm I right?" The old lady interrupted my thoughts while gazing at me.

I looked at her and smiled.

"Yeah. Actually,it was from that old pot that the black Cobra had crawled out from, then it went back into it after giving me the scroll that contained Hijirar's Prayer" I walked over to one of the statues on the left and started examining it.

"Be careful. We are not the only people here" the old lady warned.

"I know, besides you are taking me to some people who could answer my questions" I smirked.

I closely examined the statues that were in the temple, one by one. They seemed to have been the source of the raw energy I had been sensing from a long distance. Examining the statues, I knew immediately that the statues had a life of their own.

Getting to the fifth statue that had a table in front of it, the raw energy multiplied. It felt like the statue was giving off energy and power that was quite stronger than mine.

Using my left hand, I touched the old table in front of the statue, feeling it's hardness. The things on the table really seemed ancient. As I continued with my examination on the temple, the old lady watched me keenly, somehow with interest.

"They will be here any minute" old lady Papirus called out to me.

My gaze fell on her as I threw her a questionable look.

"You mean the people I'm supposed to meet?" I asked.

The old lady nodded and I couldn't help but smile. At least, I could know the truth about myself. Or if there's actually a truth.

My gaze fell back on the table as I continued examining the table, noting some ancient artifacts that were on the table. Not to lie, I love History.

Suddenly, something unexpected happened. The whole temple started shaking. It was like there was an earthquake. It came so unexpectedly that I was sure to have fallen down if not that I wasn't careful.

The earthquake continued with more vitality and strangely, the raw energy filled the atmosphere.

Driven so much by fear and shock, I took three long strides backward in order to get away from the fifth statue.

"Old lady Papirus, what's going on?" I asked with a fear stricken heart.

I could actually hear the old lady chuckle making me to get annoyed.

Why was she even laughing? I only asked a simple question and she is laughing like a moron.

"They are here" the old lady said in response to my question.

She gazed intensively at the fifth statue, making me to also stare at the statue. I held the old lady's hand in order to keep my balance so as not to fall. The earthquake was really, really bad.

The surprising thing about the earthquake was that, despite the earthquake, the pillars neither collapsed nor did the statues fall to the ground.

Both I and old lady Papirus held each other's hand for support as we prepared for whoever was coming.

The fifth statue started giving off a strong aura but I decided to ignore the aura.

It wasn't long when a portal of blue light appeared right in front of the fifth statue. The portal gave off blue light that almost blinded my eyesight if not that I protected it wit my arm. So did the old lady.

Two ladies walked out of the portal. These ladies were extremely beautiful,so beautiful that I stared at both of them in awe. One of the lady was a lot older than the other.

The older lady should be around 85 years old or maybe 90 years old. Despite her age, she was quite beautiful. Maybe when she was younger she must have been very beautiful. No wonder she's beautiful in her old age.

The other lady was quite young. Should be around 30 years old. She was a carbon copy of the older lady. If the older lady was younger, the two ladies would have been likened to twins.

But I knew better that the older lady was a mother to the younger lady.

The two ladies were fairly beautiful. They both had jet blue hair with green emerald eyes. The younger lady had good shape and would be ripe for marriage maybe if she was human.

Somehow, I felt something was off about the two ladies, especially the older one. They had some kind of a dominant aura, that kind of aura that would want to suppress. And looking at them one would know that they were not humans.

From the kind of raw energy they possessed, they seemed to be strong snake immortals.

The old lady had taught me all I needed to know about snakes, snake spirits and snake immortals. They are some specific kind of energy a snake immortal would possess that would reveal that he or she is a snake immortal.

The old lady had actually referred to me as a half-snake spirit. I was even shocked when I was told that I wasn't even a full snake spirit.

¢¢¢¢¢¢¢¢¢¢

The two ladies walked out of the blue light portal. They had smiles on their faces immediately they set their eyes on old lady Papirus. Old lady Papirus smiled back at them.

The two ladies headed straight for the old lady as they all embraced each other, one after the other.

I took some cautious steps back seeing that the two ladies were strong snake immortals. I watched as both the old lady and the two ladies exchange hugs and embraces.

"You seem to have added weight over the years, lady Papirus" the older lady said jokingly.

"That's a big lie, sis. You are the one who seemed to have been enjoying a lot" the old lady retorted with a chuckle.

"It's a lie Aunt. You've really added weight, you weren't like this last time I saw you" the young lady teased supporting her supposed mother.

"You both have been in Hijirar's Abode for a very long time, I'm sure you both must have forgotten about me" old lady Papirus said with a pretended frown on her face.

"Old lady Papirus,we really didn't forget about you. My dad has been visiting you and he has been telling me a lot about you" the younger lady playfully defended.

"You sure Melissa. I don't remember your father saying much about lady Papirus" the older lady smirked.

The three women all laughed as Joy seemed to fill the atmosphere around them.

Suddenly, the younger lady who seemed to be Melissa caught me off guard. Her gaze mysteriously fell on me. She flashed me an awkward frown as she stared intensively at me.

I flashed her a threatening growl which didn't go unnoticed.

The other two women traced her gaze and it all fell on me. It felt awkward but I tried to put on a threatening scowl.

After some minutes of staring, the older lady cleared her throat and spoke.

"Ehm... Hello, I'm Arizona the former priestess of Umuguor community before lady Papirus. And you are?"

I didn't say anything. I signalled at the old lady to give an answer in behalf of me.

The old lady got the eye contact, alright and did the necessary thing.

"Arizona, Melissa. Please meet Naagin Cabrera" the old lady stepped out of the two ladies corner and stood in front of me while introducing.

The old lady turned and looked at me. She flashed me a sweet smile before looking back at Arizona (the older lady).

Old lady Papirus quickly made eye contact with Arizona and Arizona smiled with Joy.

I wondered what the old lady had said to her in that eye contact.

But it was an honour to meet Arizona the first priestess of Umuguor community.

"Hello Naagin, there's something you need to know" for the first time, Arizona spoke to me with an incredible sweet voice.

Even Melissa who I assumed to be Arizona's daughter had shock written on her face.

"Naagin, it's time for you to know the truth" the old lady said, somewhat mysteriously.
