Chapter 49 - Chapter 49: Ride Back To Tokyo.

### Scene: The Ride Back to Tokyo

The sun dipped low in the sky, casting long shadows across the open road as Mousa drove the sleek, matte black cabriolet through the countryside, heading back to Tokyo. The wind whipped through the car, adding a sense of exhilaration to the ride as the bandits relaxed in their seats, basking in the warm glow of the evening sunset.

Mousa gripped the steering wheel with one hand, the other arm resting casually on the door as he drove. The car's engine purred beneath them, a smooth, steady sound that perfectly matched the mood. He glanced in the rearview mirror, catching a glimpse of the others.

"So," Mousa began, breaking the comfortable silence. "Now that we're done with the mission, how's everyone feeling? Jun, you seem pretty quiet."

Jun, sitting in the passenger seat next to him, turned to look at Mousa with a grin. "Just enjoying the ride, Mousa. It's not every day we get to cruise in style like this. Besides, I'm still thinking about that axe of yours. Seriously, why don't you use it more often?"

Mousa chuckled, shaking his head. "It's not about the weapon, Jun. You know that. It's about the fight. But yeah, I guess it was about time I gave it a little action."

Toma, lounging in the backseat with his arms crossed behind his head, jumped into the conversation. "Honestly, Mousa, I was impressed. I mean, we all know you're strong, but seeing you wield that axe was something else. And Jun is obviously wants the weapon to herself."

Jun rolled her eyes but couldn't hide her smile.

Shota, who had been quietly observing the conversation, caught Kazuya's eye and signed towards Kazuya, telling him that he did well and he believed in him.

Kazuya smiled at Shota, grateful for the silent encouragement. "Thanks, Shota. That means a lot coming from you."

Mousa glanced at Shota in the rearview mirror. "So, Shota. What's on your mind?"

Shota signed back, his hands moving gracefully. Telling them that he was just thinking about what's next, they completed mission but more was to come.

Jun nodded in agreement. "He's right. There's always another fight, another mission. But I'm glad we get moments like this—just us, no battles, no bloodshed. It's nice." Jun said smiling as she felt the wind breezing past her and her short being slightly blown elegantly by the wind.

At that moment, Kazuya stole a glance at her, when he did he couldn't stop looking at her. It was like he was compelled.

The way she smiled with her eyes closed as the wind gently breezed past, softly lifting her hair, was simply astonishing, showcasing Jun's beauty in."

Toma then noticed Kazuya and teased him by whispering in his ear "Why is your face so red? Something caught your eye?"

Kazuya was taken aback, and looked away nervously. "N-no it's just- The view! Yea the view is nice"

Toma just chuckled.

The wind picked up slightly, tousling their hair as Mousa drove them through the winding roads. The horizon ahead of them was a brilliant mix of oranges, pinks, and purples, the perfect backdrop to their conversation.

Toma suddenly asked, "So, what's the plan when we get back to Tokyo?"

Mousa answered "We'll lay low for a while, regroup, and then figure out our next move. We've got to stay sharp, but we'll also need to rest up."

Shota signed in agreement. While Jun added. "Rest sounds good. But we should also keep training." she said as she looked towards Kazuya.

Mousa nodded. "Agreed. We've got a lot to learn from what just happened. Every fight is a chance to get better."

As they continued down the road, the conversation flowed easily, filled with jokes, teasing, and the occasional serious moment. The camaraderie between them was palpable, a bond forged through countless battles and shared experiences.

The wind felt amazing against their skin, the sun setting behind them as they made their way back to Tokyo. It was a rare moment of peace, one they all cherished as they looked forward to whatever challenges lay ahead.
