The corridor was suddenly enveloped in utter silence.
"One last question," Lin Wu took a while before finally speaking, "The person who took Lu Guichi to that hospital that year, who were they? Were they also... someone with special abilities like Lu Guichi?"
Guan Chen shook his head, "Lu Guichi did not tell me about this. However, I managed to pry some information from him; that person seemed to have disappeared after changing his identity and would only occasionally help him cover his tracks in secret. Over the years, they've had very little contact."
Having said that, Guan Chen looked straight at Lin Wu, as if asking if she had any more questions.
But Lin Wu had no more questions.
There were only three things she wanted to know at the moment.
The first was related to Lu Guichi. What was the thing he was looking for, what use did it have for him, how had he managed to come out of the Underground City, and why, after so many years, did he want to take that thing back with him?
