Just as they entered the movie theater, it was pitch-black inside and they couldn't see a thing. Su Jiaojiao nestled bonelessly into Huo Wenchang's arms.
"Brother Wenchang, what should I do? I'm afraid of the dark. You'll have to hold me tight later."
Huo Wenchang wrapped one arm around Su Jiaojiao while groping forward with the other, casually choosing an empty seat to sit down.
Once they adjusted to the darkness in the theater, he looked around.
"The ticket seller was definitely lying. There's nobody here, and he said there were no tickets left…"
Feeling bolder, Su Jiaojiao nestled closer in Huo Wenchang's embrace, hooking her fingers in his lapel.
"Brother Wenchang, you're going back to Beijing soon. This time, you better not forget about me."
Huo Wenchang felt a ticklish sensation in his heart and moved his hand upward along Su Jiaojiao's mischievous hand.
It landed on her neck, rubbing intolerably.
