The sun gradually sank behind the mountains, casting the last touch of afterglow onto the earth.
The golden glow fell on Huo Shen's face, making him look unrealistically handsome.
Lin Anning couldn't help but stare, transfixed, until she finally snapped back to reality and swatted Huo Shen's hand away, sitting upright.
"Can you not talk like that? It's easy for people to get the wrong idea."
Huo Shen reluctantly rubbed his fingertips, still warm from the touch, and turned to take the driver's seat.
"Talk like what?"
Lin Anning pursed her lips, deliberately mimicking his tone, elongating and softening her voice.
"Mr. Huo, I feel for you! Like that!"
Her voice was naturally sweet, and when she spoke like that, it was as if it had been dipped in honey, making one feel thoroughly sweetened from head to toe.
Not too shabby, quite intoxicating!
