By the time they reached the school, it was lunchtime, and everyone had just finished classes and headed straight for the cafeteria; the campus was bustling.
Lin Anning arrived at her dorm room, pushed open the door, and discovered her bed piled high with miscellaneous items.
Wang Hongli and Guo Haiyan were squatting on the floor, polishing Han Juan's shoes. When they saw her return, they stood up awkwardly.
"Well, Anning! Don't blame us for this. It was Han Juan who said that you wouldn't be coming back, and she was the one who told us to put the stuff there."
Lin Anning frowned when she saw them like this.
"Are you here to study or to serve someone?"
Guo Haiyan was already frustrated, and Lin Anning's comment brought her to tears.
"You think we want to do this? Han Juan forced us to do it, saying that if we didn't, she'd make sure we couldn't attend school anymore. My husband earns money working in a coal mine to pay for my studies; I can't just go back like that."
