The next morning, Huo Shen took Lin Anning to have breakfast in Beijing, and after packing the car with big and small packages full of gifts until it could fit no more, they finally set off.
On the road, Anning was eager to return, humming a song as she watched the scenery swiftly receding outside the window.
Seeing that she wasn't affected by those troubles, Huo Shen also breathed a sigh of relief.
"I haven't asked yet, which university do you want to apply to?"
Lin Anning turned to look at him and smiled with squinted eyes.
"I want to apply to the Traditional Medicine University in Beijing because I can be closer to you in the future."
Huo Shen tapped the steering wheel and looked at her seriously.
"Don't worry, no matter where you go, I will be by your side."
"So don't accommodate me, just study what you want to study."
Lin Anning's heart melted like a puddle of water as she looked at Huo Shen's gentle eyes.
"By your side is exactly where I want to be!"
