Somehow, it was hard to tell if they were simply out of luck or just a bit cursed.
By the time they arrived on the first day, it was already the afternoon, so they toured the ice sculpture gallery and then found a fairly comfortable hotel to rest. The plan was to go skiing at the ski resort the next day—anyway, it was not far, just half an hour's drive away.
But who would have thought that it would start snowing in the middle of the night, at first like grains of salt, fine and dense, not too heavy, but after three or four hours, turning into big fluffy snowflakes. By the time they woke up at seven in the morning to have breakfast, the world outside had transformed into a vast blanket of snow.
And the snow wasn't stopping, with a tendency to get heavier.
