After hanging up the phone, Lishen turned to the person next to him and asked, "So you're really not planning on going back?"
Wei Yue was looking at the scenery flashing by outside the window. It was a foreign place but it didn't feel unfamiliar to him, which was indeed quite strange.
He wanted to stay.
Wei Yue withdrew his gaze from the window and listened to the incessant crunching noise that hadn't stopped since they got in the car. He wondered how this girl could eat so much; it was making him hungry too.
Wei Yue stretched out a hand towards the front passenger seat, "Give me some."
The crunching stopped, and the sound of rummaging through a plastic bag followed. Then an apple was stuffed into Wei Yue's hand.
