At 8:30 in the evening, the street leading to Beijing University was bustling and lively. Many parents who had come from out of town to drop off their children were choosing to stroll nearby after having dinner.
There were also quite a few older students from sophomores to seniors who had returned to campus early. Couples walked arm in arm or with waists embraced, their demeanor affectionate. Jiang Yan, with Song Jiawen on his back, walked among them but didn't stand out at all.
When he was close to the school, he set Song Jiawen down and took the bags from her hands to continue walking forward.
"Jiang Yan?"
Just as the two reached the entrance and were about to step in, they turned around in response to a calling voice and saw Liu Wenhui, Tian Xiaohui, and Dai Lei, who seemed to have just returned from dinner.
Song Jiawen stood to the left of Jiang Yan, and from the right side, the streetlight cast its light, enshrouding her in a shadow.
"Were you out buying stuff?"
