Inside a smaller building next to the large central government building, a group of young people in their early twenties gathered. There were about fifteen of them in total. A young man with tan skin and a fairly muscular physique stood in the corner of the room. He was Eric Osmond, who had arrived at the meeting place after receiving a message that he had passed the selection.
Some of them formed into groups, while others stood alone. Among the groups, one consisted of two women who stood out in the middle of the room. One wore a robe, and even though she wore it, one could tell she was very beautiful and had a great figure. The other wore glasses and looked like a bookworm.
Before long, an older man in his early forties entered the room. "Please line up," he said.
I, who had been sitting quietly in the corner, immediately listened to the instructions and lined up. The line consisted of five people in the front and the rest following behind the five in front.
"Good afternoon, everyone," said the man, greeting them.
"Good afternoon, sir," I and the other young people replied.
"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Asher Girdud, and I am the head of research for the journey to the Earth's surface," the older man said, revealing his identity.
"Before you go to the surface, you will form groups of five. There are fifteen people here who have passed the selection. So, there will be five groups."
"You can come forward and draw lots from the box and gather with the person who has the same number," instructed Mr. Asher Girdud, placing a box on the table.
Then, one by one, the young people drew lots. And it was my turn. I walked towards the box and reached out my hand to pick up a piece of paper from the box. I took one of the papers and pulled it out of the box. The process continued until everyone had drawn a lot.
"Gather with your groups," Mr. Asher Girdud instructed.
"Number one, gather here." "Number two, gather here." "Number three, gather here." "Number four, gather here." The shouts were heard to gather their group members.
I got number five. But I didn't hear anyone shouting at number five. With initiative, I then shouted, "Number five, gather here!"
Shortly after I shouted, two women gathered near me.
"I'm number five," said the woman in the robe.
"I'm also number five," said the woman with glasses.
The two women were the same ones who stood out together in the middle of the room earlier. I then introduced myself to the two women.
"Hello, both of you. My name is Eric Osmond; what are your names?" I introduced myself and asked the two women.
"Hello, Eric, my name is Julia, and this is my friend, Silvia," a woman wearing glasses explained.
"Hello, Julia and Silvia," I said, greeting them by their names.
"Alright, everyone, line up according to your groups." Mr. Asher Girdud's instruction was heard.
"For the next three days, you will stay in the dormitory. You will stay with your group members and get to know each other, and on the second day, you will receive guidance and missions."
"Each group leader will receive the keys to their respective dormitory rooms."
I then turned to Julia and Silvia. They just shrugged their shoulders as if to say, "You be the leader."
Seeing that, I stepped forward to take the lead. I took the dormitory keys.
"Alright, you can get to know each other. All facilities are provided here. Enjoy," said Mr. Asher Girdud, who then left the room.
"Julia and Silvia, let's go to our dormitory room." I invited the two women.
"Let's go, Eric," both women replied simultaneously.
Then we walked to our dormitory room. "I'll open the door," I said, informing them to open the door.
"Crack." The door opened. "Let's go in," I said cheerfully.
We then entered the dormitory room that had been prepared. Upon stepping inside, I saw that the room was quite spacious, or maybe even large.
The length of the room was approximately twenty meters, and the width was about fifteen meters. Inside the room, there were already four beds available. There was also a sofa and a television. And in one corner of the room, there was a refrigerator, and various snacks were provided on the shelf.
"This place is amazing," I thought to myself. It was the first time I had seen such luxury, which left me amazed and impressed at first sight.
I then saw that Julia and Silvia had already chosen their beds. I decided to choose a bed a bit away from them. After all, they were both women.
"Eric, we'll take a shower first," Julia and Silvia said to me.
I nodded in agreement. Then Julia and Silvia went to the women's bathroom provided.
I placed my bag next to the bed and walked towards the refrigerator and snacks provided in the dormitory room. "I should make use of everything provided by the central government," I thought, not wanting to waste the food and facilities provided.
I walked towards the refrigerator and the shelf containing the various snacks provided. I took some potato chips and some sodas from the refrigerator.
After I thought it was enough, I walked to the sofa in the dormitory room and sat there. I then enjoyed the snacks and even took some more.
"I'm so full, my stomach feels like it's going to explode," I said. Then I relaxed on the sofa for a while.
"Eric, aren't you going to take a shower?" Julia asked who had finished showering and entered the dormitory room.
"In a moment," I said.
After feeling rested enough and feeling that the snacks I had eaten had been digested, I then walked out of the dormitory to the men's bathroom provided for a shower.
I didn't take too long to shower. Unlike the women, who might take an hour or more just to shower, I then walked back to my dormitory room.
"Crack." I opened the door to my dormitory room. And I walked in. Inside, I saw that Julia and Silvia were sitting on the sofa, watching the television provided.
I walked toward the sofa. I took the initiative to be more friendly with Julia and Silvia.
"Hello, Julia and Silvia," I greeted them both.
"May I sit?" I asked.
"Yes, of course, Eric, please," Julia allowed.
"Thank you."
I then sat next to Julia and Silvia. Julia seemed more friendly, while Silvia seemed not to care much.
My eyes turned to Silvia. Silvia was not wearing her robe now. Her figure was clearly visible, and her face was very beautiful. Like a fairy tale character.
I was stunned to see that.
"cough... Ahem...,Eric, do you need something from Silvia?" Julia interjected.
"cough...cough...cough..., no, I was just amazed at how beautiful Silvia's face is," I reasoned.
"He must be a pervert, Julia. Don't mind him," Silvia said with a slightly angry tone.
Seeing that, I immediately tried to explain the misunderstanding that had occurred.
"No, Silvia, that's not it," I said.
"I just rarely see a woman as beautiful as you because I have to work as a laborer," I explained further.
"I'm sorry if that makes you uncomfortable," I apologized.
Then Silvia just nodded and didn't speak to me anymore. Only Julia talked to me.
We then talked and chatted with each other, although I only spoke to Julia, and Silvia only nodded and spoke a few words.
