Lucas carried Olive to his room, her arms wrapped around his neck as he navigated the stairs. Once he reached his room, he carefully opened the door and carried Olive inside, closing it quietly behind them. He gently laid Olive on his bed, her eyes fixed on his as he began to tend to her injured leg.
"Does it hurt?" Lucas asked, his voice laced with concern, though he tried hard to mask it. He couldn't afford to show too much emotion; Aiden would be back soon. "I don't want him to find us here and risk exposing your secret."
"You should hurry back to your room once I'm done with your leg. Have a warm bath, dry your hair to avoid getting cold." Lucas continued, his gaze fixed on the leg he was tending to.
As Lucas examined her leg, Olive winced. "I'm so sorry, Lucas."
"Sorry? For what?" Lucas asked, his gaze narrowing as he looked at her.
