Chapter 36 - Truth Revealed

The teenagers felt trapped, like mice in a cage. Unsure if Mr. Robert had overheard their conversation, they fell silent, nervously glancing at him and swallowing hard.

"I noticed the light in your room was still on, so I came to turn it off. Luckily, your door was unlocked. I didn't expect to find all five of you still awake. What's the plan with the police station?" Mr. Robert inquired, raising an eyebrow.

"We wanted to inquire about Samuel's case," Olive spoke up first, her eyes fixed on Mr. Robert, who seemed skeptical but wore a suspicious expression.

"Discussing this in the middle of the night instead of sleeping?" Mr. Robert questioned, his eyebrows furrowed in curiosity.

"And why is that any of your business? I can talk to my friends whenever I want, right? Austin asked, his voice filled with anger. "Now that you've discovered that I intentionally left the light on in my room, please leave."
