Louise's voice broke through her thoughts. "By the way, there's a party at my house tonight. You're invited. I'd be happy if you came and you can bring your friends too," he said, his dimples deepening as he smiled.
"Oh, uh, sure!" Olive replied instinctively but instantly regretted it. 'What the heck did I just agree to?' she thought. 'Every time there's a party, something bad happens.'

Meanwhile, Lucas made his way back to the classroom where Mark and Lara were still seated, along with other students who were busy chatting.
"Hey! You're back!" Mark exclaimed, waving at Lucas, who sat down in front of him and Lara. "What's wrong? You look like a king who had lost his kingdom."
"Yeah," Lucas replied, turning his attention to Lara. "Can I talk to you for a moment? It's about your friend. I just want to ask a few questions if you don't mind."
