As soon as he got to the door leading to the Alpha's Chambers, he turned around to be sure that no one was watching or coming.
Taking a step forward, he tried to step toward the door, but one of the guards by the side of the door held up his hand, and stopped him from moving.
Surprised by the guard's action, Ethan took a step backward and stared at the guard, but he refused to budge.
"Where to?" The guard asked, still holding up his hand just to make sure that Ethan didn't get through.
"I need to see the Alpha," Ethan said, after an intense sigh.
"Is he expecting you?" The guard asked, causing Ethan to gasp at his words, Ge never expected to be treated that way by any of the guards, knowing fully that he was higher in rank than them.
"This is really important, he has to know about it before it's too late," Ethan said to the guard, determined to get what he had always wanted, even if it meant enduring the insult from the guard.
