"Her burning eyes melted him like a candle wax,"
he had written describing the very first meeting of Romeo and Juliet at the party. He further continued and wrote,
"The noisy party turned out to be the vernorexia,
as soon as their eyes collided with each other."
"His proficiency in the language has already impressed me. But the romantic feeling that he used to add up in his answer writing just mesmerized me. For an instant, I felt like I needed such a romance in my life. What if I love such a guy? I just need a true romance, that's all. I felt."
"But how authentic would it be? For a teacher to love her student & develop feelings by reading the answer scripts of my student."
"My name is Madhura,
I am a recent graduate and as soon as completing my master's I immediately started pursuing my career as a lecturer. I was very much intrigued to start my profession as a teacher. But my very first day was a disaster. All the students went berserk and made a hell of a lot of noise in the class. I was unable to control them.
Literature has been my favorite subject since my school days, therefore I did my master's in literature. A more loving job for me is teaching than speaking about literature and keeping it to myself. But all these students seemed to be immature and ignorant to taste the sweetness of the literature. Yes, I have started to realize that not everyone is like me. As a professor, I'll try to teach them how to love this discipline.
But my arrogance tore apart when I started correcting the exam papers of the students pursuing bachelors. This boy here has exceptionally done well in his writing. He is a student of literature too. I love literature but he lives and speaks through literature. His name is Dushyanth (the name comes from a famous work from a prominent Indian poet, the remarkable romantic work 'Abhignyana Shakuntala' which stands out to be the best piece of literature of work in the Indian stream. Dushyantha is the protagonist of the story) he is an introverted student in the class. I've never seen him speaking with anybody in the class. He sat at the corner and kept staring from the window.
I thought of him as a pale guy who never had the basic taste of interest in the discipline. But I never bothered to correct him because he never made any noise or disturbance in the class. But now at this point, while reading his answer script I feel like having a strong sense of attraction toward this student. I don't even know if he has written to impress me or if it's just how he is, but his answers are just heavenly. Is this how he speaks? I want to have a conversation with this poet now. Wonder how beautiful time I'd have."
Madhura begins to read over and over his answer scripts and enjoys every possible detail ever possible. The answer script was comprised of a tiny poem describing the possible love scenario in the episode of Romeo and Juliet ending. Which got Madhura's attention.
"He just wanted to find Roseline
but instead, he got the beautiful Juliet.
Not in his lifetime, But,
in the never-ending pages of eternal love tales."
Romeo wanted to kiss her. But,
the death's peck had already gotten her away from Romeo.
As he got envious of death
He avenged it, by giving a tight hug to the death."
Madhura already got melted with the answers of Dushyant. She had read many of the beautiful and top novels. But what impresses a poetophile are the poems that encounter them without any prior expectations. Madhura never expected such a beautiful gift from an answer script. Maybe she was also bored with the answers from the other students. But she never expected to describe the feeling that she was experiencing right now.
Madura by nature is an admirer of good literature. She happens to see the poem in everything. She was very much influenced by the poems and romantic novels which indoctrinated her a romanticism in everything. She rejected a few love proposals in her life just because there was no romance which she used to experience through the reading of her favorite authors. Her expectancy level was through the authors, she wanted her darling to be a great poet. Madhura always dreamt of such things in her lifetime. But after a point of maturity, she realized that romance takes place in between the pages of books but not in the socio-city. In no time she realized that couples won't be having such beautiful conversations as her beloved authors used to write in the novels.
She always thought that there could be a beautification of love and lover only at the gleeful graph of love. But what surprised Madhura was that she found a poet in her very reach and never expected a student to embellish the disastrous climax episode of the beautiful love track. The graph of romance never erupted from inception to end even having a variety of emotions in the answer script. Also, she realized that Dushyanth was not trying to flex his poetic skills but it was probably the nature of how he speaks. It was just like the daily life of her hero, which she had expected.
Madhura was the one who believed that such men do not exist in real life. During her expectation period, she found it to be too unrealistic. And in no time she left hope probably she thought that her poetic love to be with herself and not to expect from her partner. Anything that one gets after losing will be very precious. The same goes with Madhura she was in the hope of someone who'd be like her somewhere in this small world. But she thought such a person would never fall within her reach. She was almost ready to accept a marriage proposal under parental pressure. But she kind of feels assured about getting her romantic mate now. Not that she completely fell for Dushyant but it's really a huge distraction for her mind now and also she thinks now that it's not that hard to find a person as she desires now.
Madhura now cannot get over the answer script which she happened to have finished reading now. She read the answer script over and over just like how one listens to the favorite part of lines in a song. This event turned out to be a negative point for the successive answer scripts as Madhura was trying to find Dushyant in every answer but her new author crush was nowhere to be found other than his pages.
Madhura next day was eagerly waiting to take the 3B class. As to see Dushyant in a fresh perception. But unfortunately, it was Friday and she was not engaging in the 3B classes where Dushyant studies. She felt bad for herself and cussed herself. But she realized that she had developed a sense of simp towards a mere student. She felt cringed and awkward for an instant.
But it was not a crime to do so.
Why not? Madhura too was a beautiful charming young lady in her late 20s and she had never been in a serious relationship before. Madura was popular among her peers in her group and she had a few date proposals too. Which never let her feel complex about her appearance. Madhura got a wish and for the first time, she was willing to hear about herself from someone. Not through words but from the collision of a pen on a blank sheet with the poet's heartful writings. Thus she halted herself to be described in this instant.
The same day she visited the college library to read and flex the knowledge she had about the literature. She was craving to read the writings of Dushyanth but as there was no scope to get the writings of the unfamous poet. So, she had an instance to visit the library. After the classes were dispersed around the time she was about to depart Madhura decided to have the book "the one you cannot have" authored by 'Preethi Shenoy'. Madhura had a huge admiration for 'Durjoy Dutta' and his works but this time she purposely chose a female author.
So that she could feel more relatable and access to the pain that happens during the inception of a love. It was something she was looking for the question for the literature through the answers in the literature itself.
Madhura went to the library and without any effort, she walked straight into the literature section. She only dedicated her efforts to the library looking for some good novels. She also provided many applications to the library demanding more books in the literature section. However, the institution had multiple disciplines teaching under the same roof. They didn't bother much about subjects like literature. Madhura went straight into the rack where she could find the novel that she was searching for. But as her muscle memory was so great for the pages she never had the opportunity to look at the manual and prescribe about the books placed in the particular racks and rows. However, to a surprise, she couldn't find the book she was searching for.
"That's so strange! It must be here itself!
Why am I unable to find it?" [Madhura thought in her head].
"As if here hardly students come, and that too for the literature section. There's no possible way that any of these students will touch the books from here. Did the librarian lose it anywhere?
He is such a reckless man, once he had a huge fight with the Political department for misarranging the books. But that guy never had remorse for the errors he thinks that books have no such significant value.
Tch!" [Madhura felt discomforted]
Madhura began to search for the book everywhere in the racks, where she was aware that it wouldn't be available. But yet for her satisfaction, she began to search for it in every possible row.
She heard a few footsteps approaching her in the middle of the rack. She thought it must be the librarian and she was about to demand the book from him and she had the intention to kvetch about the misarrangement.
To a surprise, the person turned out to be the assistant clerk in the library.
"Yes! Lady the time's up library is about to close head to your house." said the clerk.
Madhura got irritated about the ignorant behavior of the library staff as in the slightly rude tone she replied.
"Sir, I am Madhura assistant professor from the literature department. I am unable to find a book which I need immediately."
[Her tone signified some discomfort and order to the clerk].
"Huh?" His concentration was too fixed on something else. The man was very busy and fixed on cleaning his ears with the earbuds. He was very much determined to twist the poor little earbuds so much and the reach of physics was out at this point. He was able to twist the earbud at light speed to let the wax crave the unreachable wax out of his ears.
With a negligent tone, the person replied.
"It must be here somewhere itself, check properly, madam."
[The man said in a careless tone].
Madhura is usually a woman with no temper issues and the administration of the college bored and disappointed so much that. She had nothing new to explore in the flaws of the institution. But this time it is not the same. As, in the pit of filth she has recognized a lotus which is too blooming and loving like her. Also, the overload of work which is delegated to the assistant teachers by these senior professors pissed her off.
All those frustrations burst out of her like a volcano.
She yelled at once with a slightly loud and tight tone.
"Where? It's not there! I am unable to find …
Her scream seems to have touched the buds unreachable part of the earbuds of the clerk. He got steady and went out keeping his half-used earbuds in the pocket and departed saying.
"I'll get you the book please wait, madam.
You can search that row.
[pointing to the row behind Madhura's back and in front of him].
"Please!" [with a discomfort tone Madhura replied].
Madhura turned back and began to search for the rows which the clerk had pointed out.
Madhura began to murmur and complain to the college authority.
"I'm so used to this, but still it irritates me every time.
I feel fed up every time.
With such a poor administration I need to resign from the damn college."
"I'll!
I'll for sure leave the college. Once I get placed in the National School of Literature."
"Ahem!"
[the voice interrupted Madhura].
"Though I raised my blood pressure level, it was worth it.
At least this useless clerk did some work today. If not he didn't get the book at least he tried to search I believe.
[Thought Madhura in her head.
She turned back towards the entrance of the rack facing towards the clerk].
"Yess…
Madhura's heart began to pound.
She got slightly tense and nervous when she saw a personality holding the novel called 'The one you cannot have].'
