Silas watched as the lift doors slid open, revealing the second sub-level of the Obsidian Citadel. The hallway stretched before him, shrouded in darkness, but his umbral vision pierced through the gloom effortlessly. He stepped out, his footsteps echoing softly against the obsidian floors.
Doors lined both sides of the corridor, reminiscent of apartments or hotel suites. Silas activated his aura sight, scanning the occupants within. Most seemed to be relaxing, their auras calm and steady. Soft light seeped from beneath the doors, creating pools of illumination in the otherwise dark hallway.
As Silas neared the end of the corridor, a disturbance caught his attention. In the last room on the left, he sensed a struggle. Without hesitation, he approached the door and kicked it down with a resounding crash.
