~Danger~
Marius was in the hallway, heading to his room when he heard that annoying voice.
"Mr Angel! Mr Angel!" He doesn't need a ghost to tell him who it was. Aoife came and obstructed his passage.
"What again?" He sounded tired or rather displeased to see her.
"I missed you. I was worried when you left for the war. I thought I will never see you" she hugged him. Marius pushed her away from him, glaring at her.
"You are a cool for thinking that someone can kill the God of War of the Moon Realm" there was a certain pride in his voice as he said that.
"But still, I was just worried. I woke up and couldn't find y..." Her words got cut off when Marius pushed her to the wall and claimed her lips roughly. Aoife gasped. She was extremely shocked and frozen. Like the almighty God of War kissing her? It's surreal! He was fierce and intense that Aoife could swear she felt a faint taste of blood in her mouth. Her lips were red and swollen when he pulled back.
"That's what you want I suppose?" He smirked.
"But you were never gentle" Aoife stated, pursing her lips in displeasure.
"The word 'gentle' was never invented in my personality" he replied making her gasp. He leaned down closer to her ear, his warm breath fanning her skin. He reeked of blood but Aoife cared less about that. The only thing she feels is his closeness which was enough to wreak havoc inside her heart.
"That is why I said you cannot take me in. One thrust will tear you apart. I can't watch you die" he sounded like he was teasing her as his husky voice rang into her ears but his expression was cold blank mask. He smirked and turned to leave but Aoife's next word made him freeze.
"Dare me tonight!" Her voice was loud and decisive. Marius didn't say anything, he only smirked and left.
Xerxes was also in the hallway, lady Cheyenne was following him but he was undisturbed about it. But when he sighted Aoife ahead of them and Marius was leaving, he smirked and stopped until lady Cheyenne approached him.
"I apologise for following you my Lord. I just wanted to apologise for spilling a drink on you that day" she bowed.
Xerxes watched her calmly and shook his head. "let's go" he had her hand. Cheyenne was taken aback by his action. Like he just held her hand! He smiled charmingly at her as they walked, Cheyenne melted with his smile. When they reached the exact point where Aoife was standing, Xerxes paused and turned to Cheyenne. He removed the hairpin that was holding her hair in a bun and her brown hair cascaded down her back.
"You look gorgeous and breathtaking now" he pecked her cheek.
"I'll keep this pin, anytime I miss you, I will just stare at it" he shot her a smile. Cheyenne was a blushing mess. "Thanks my Lord"
"Let's go little star" he grabbed her waist and the duo left.
Aoife was staring at them with an extremely pale and pained expression. Xerxes just acted as if she never existed. He never even looked at her! That's outrageous! She gritted her teeth and clenched her fist in anger and jealousy.
When Xerxes reached the door leading to the Onyx Sanctum, he turned to Cheyenne. His face was cold.
"That was just a little game" he stated.
"Aye, my Lord. But I'm willing to play along to make her jealous" Cheyenne stated with determination. Xerxes didn't say anything, he left. And he forgot to give her back the hairpin. He'll surely keep it!
...Two Moons Later...
Queen Niamh was in the throne room with few nobles. They were discussing the state affairs and military prowess when Niamh noticed her bracelet, which Ambrosia have it to her. The bracelet changed from amethyst to bright red which means... gasps! The identical twins are in danger!
Niamh sprang her feet up and left ignoring the calls from the nobles. She followed the directions the bracelet gave her and she appeared in the Magic Woodland. She looked around and heard a low growl. She gasped and followed the direction of the voice.
"Ahhh...!!!" She heard one of the girl's screams. She appeared before them just to see a bear attacking the twins. Anastasia's arm was bleeding because of how the bear scratched her.
"Your Grace, help!" Ambrosia cried. The bear's attention turned to Niamh and the twins ran away.
Niamh created a bow and arrow using her powers and aimed in at the bear. The arrow pierced directly at it's left eye. The bear let out a loud growl and charged at her. Niamh was quick to dodge it and get away. She set another arrow and shot it. It pierced into it's stomach. Niamh threw the bow and arrow and faced the bear. When the bear came charging at her, she raised her hands and a white ethereal glow enveloped her, sending the bear flying to the opposite direction and it dropped dead.
Niamh opened her eyes and breathed out softly.
"Your Grace! Your Grace!" Nicklaus and Marcellus came rushing. Niamh's head started going in circles and she dropped on the floor, unconscious.
"Your Grace!" Nicklaus panicked and rushed to where she is.
"Neev!" Lansel appeared from the other side and crouched down to her level.
"Neev dear" he called. With shaky hands, he picked her up in a bridal style and disappeared.
In the Queen's chamber...
There was a tensed atmosphere as the doctor examined Niamh. Queen Diantha, Lady Serephina, Neriah, Lucretzia and Lansel were all waiting for the doctor to talk.
"How's she?" Lansel asked eagerly as the doctor rose.
"She's fine, Your Serene Highness. She just was just stressed after using her powers" the doctor explained.
"When will she wake up then?" Queen Diantha asked.
"She'll wake up anytime soon. Just let her rest for now" the doctor replied.
"Thank you doctor, see him off" Queen Diantha said.
"I'll take my leave, I need to deal with Nicklaus, Marcellus and Orion for leaving her alone!" Lansel gritted and marched out of the room.
When Lansel left, the doctor turned to Queen Diantha.
"Your Grace, I have some good news" the doctor stated. They all exchanged looks and gave him a go ahead look.
"I'm happy to announce that..." He paused and took in their eager expressions. He smiled and shot the unconscious Neev a stare before he continued...
"Her majesty is with child"
