Chapter 76 - Chapter Seventy Six

~Letter M~

"Are you talking about this?" Marius smirked mischievously. The knife in Aoife's hand loosened but she grabbed it tightly.

"Stop it! I'll kill you" she warned, her voice was loud.

"Shhh... don't tell, I didn't even start anything. The guards will think I'm tearing you apart" his voice was still cold but there's still a mischievous smile playing across his lips.

Aoife felt lost in front of this man. Like how can he say that with a straight face. He flipped her over and straddled her.

"But even the guards know that you're too slim and inexperienced for me" he added and stood up. Aoife gasped, utterly embarrassed. Satisfied with the ghastly pale and pained expression, Marius stood up and dressed up.

"Rest assured, I didn't touch you" he winked at her.

Aoife stood up fuming, glaring at him.

"Embarrass me the way you want, I won't give up on you, never!"

"Pft what a pest"

Next Day...

Niamh woke up with a gasp. She was sweating and her heart was beating wildly. That was because of her usual nightmares. Lansel was dressing when he heard her gasp, he rushed towards her.

"Nightmares again?"

Niamh clenched her fist in anger.

"Damien is doing all what he can do to get me..." She paused and looked away.

"He took my father. I saw him in my dream but he was a lot different person, not the Orleans Sullivan I know" sadness was evident in her eyes as she said that. Lansel say at the edge of the bed and pulled her closer to himself.

"We will save your father, Vladimir and all other people Damien took. Don't let him know your weakness. Do not fear him. Face what you fear and get rid of the fera itself. I thought I've taught you how to be tough?" Lansel said, tilting his head and Neev nodded.

"I'll be by your side" he cooed, his voice seemed to have some magic as it lingers in her ear. Niamh nodded and pulled away from him.

"I'm not giving him what he wants"

"That's my silver cat" Lansel beamed and stood up.

" Your maids are here to dress you up. I'll be in the dining by then"

Neev stared up at him for a long time and smiled.

"You look handsome, sire"

He wore a resplendent ensemble of grey and silver, a deep crimson robe with golden designs billowed behind him, his golden crown reflecting a radiant glow as he gestured.

The large door opened and Queen Neev stepped out, her maids trailing behind her.

"Your Grace"

"My Queen" all those in the hallway bowed. Niamh nodded ay then and they all rose. She saw three strange faces and her face contorted in confusion.

"Do I know you?" She asked. Dionysios stepped forward and bowed.

"Forgive me, Your Grace. I introduce you Orion, your shadow guard, Marcellus your knight and Nicklaus your advisor" he introduced and the trio bowed.

"Honoured to serve you, Your Grace"

"I give you my life"

"I will serve and protect you, from now till I die. I'll fall on my sword and die if you command me to do so"

Niamh stared at them and smiled satisfactorily. Amongst the three, Nicklaus is the oldest. He looked like he's at his mid 50s and seemed responsible.

"Which house, Lord Nicklaus?" Niamh asked. She have heard a lot about responsible Lords from powerful houses. So, she was curious which house Nicklaus came from.

Nicklaus looked up and bowed.

"Pardon me, Your Grace I am no Lord for you. I am from house Theon. A loyal servant for Your Grace, chosen to advise you. Courtesy from the Queen Mother"

Niamh nodded and smiled. She then turned to Dionysios.

"All great warriors, there names begin with letter M?"

"Pardon?" Dionysios looked utterly confused.

"Marius, Marcellus, Malcolm and Mateo. They are all great knights of the kingdom" Niamh nodded.

"Maybe letter M is blessed to have all great warriors. But your Grace, I am also a great warrior and the commander of all forces is General Hecter" Dionysios added.

"The king is also a great warrior" Niamh smirked and Dionysios stared at her in disbelief. She's boasting about her own husband. Oh goodness, he shouldn't have argued.

"Then I'll call you Mionysios, and general Mecter, all with letter M" Neev left after saying that while Dionysios stared at her in disbelief.

The maids were giggling silently.

"You all know your duties, I suppose?" Niamh asked as they made their way towards the dining room.

"Aye, Your Grace" they said in unison.

"Leave me here, your duties begin when I'm out of this room" she stood in front of the large door. They all bowed and left.

The door opened and she emerged. The figure of ethereal beauty, her silver hair was styled in half-up braids and half-down cascaded at her back, she exuded regal beauty, elegance and authority from her white dress to her crown, that glared at anyone who sees it.

Lansel smirked satisfactorily seeing his Queen arise. She appeared bold and regal that no doubt she'll rule her people with wisdom and compasion, regardless of coming from a poor background.
