Chapter 72 - Chapter Seventy Two

~Coronation~

"Sister!"

"Sister in-law?" Awn-yah and Princess Neriah wished into Niamh's room as her maids primmed her up.

"Oh princess, Awn-yah" Neev beamed.

"I really can't hide my happiness. I've been eagerly waiting for this day" Neriah took Niamh's hands, giving it a light squeez.

"Thank you princess" Neev beamed.

"It's my pleasure, Your Grace" Neriah replied and they ask giggled n

"Where's mother?" She asked.

"She's at the hall"

The door opened revealing Severus.

"Ready?" He asked.

Niamh turned to Neriah. "I'm nervous"

"Don't be! You'll soon be the Queen. All will be well. Lansel is by your side, okay?" Neriah cooed.

Niamh took numerous deep breaths to calm down her nerves before following Severus. Ambrosia and Anastasia were holding her trail.

Marius was leading the way with groups of royal knights trailing behind him. They appeared in front of the Grand hall.

The two groups of knights marched in with Marius' command.

"Forward match!"

"Left Right left right left right"

"Left Right left right left right left right left right left"

The royal guards marched in, in formation of center of the Grand hall.

"Left Right left, company halt!" Marius commanded

The ballroom was decorated with ceremonial banners and flowers. Guest from different realms filled the room. Lansel and Neev appeared in one side of the upper balcony while Queen Diantha appeared in the other side of the balcony. They smiled at each and proceeded down the balcony.

The Queen was gorgeously dressed in a green-gold gown and white cape. The crown of the Moon Realm is on her head.

Prince Lansel was clad in a resplendent ensemble of deep and royal blue. While Niamh was dressed in beige gown decorated with crimson filigree. A velvet cape was draped over her shoulders, cascading elegantly down her back. Her eyes twinkled together with here jewelries, like captured starlights.

The trio descended the stairs, Lansel and Neev took their place in the raised platforms. The Queen stood by her son.

A look of regal solemnity was upon their faces. With regal Grace, the archbishop stepped forward, the golden crown gleaming in his hands.

"By the power vested in me, I crown thee, prince Lansel Stormborn Amberhide Styrix, King of the Moon Realm and the New Moon Supreme" he slowly placed the crown on Lansel's head.

The archbishop moved to Neev, presenting her with a delicate silver crown.

"And I crown thee, lady Neev Orleans Sullivan, Queen of the Moon Realm and the New Moon goddess" he declared, gently placing the crown upon her head.

With solemn reverence, the archbishop approached, bearing the symbol of royal authority- the orb and the scepter. He placed the orb in Lansel's hand, symbolizing his sovereignty over the Land, and the scepter in Neev's, signifying her authority as a Queen.

A hush fell over the assembled nobles as the archbishop intoned the sacred words of coronation, affirming Lansel and Neev as the rightful rulers of the kingdom. With a sense of duty and humility, they bowed their heads, accepting the weight of their new roles.

The royal knights, loyal guardians of the realm, clad in shining armour, stepped forward, crossing their high, to form an archway as a symbol of protection and allegiance as they sang the national anthem.

Here's a revised version with a more fantastical tone:

"In twilight's hush, where moonbeams play

Amidst the gates of pearl, our mystic realm holds sway

Cities of starlight, forged from gemstone fire

Ruby, emerald, and diamond spires, aspire to heart's desire

In this domain of wonder, mortals and magic entwine

Supernatural dreams, in lunar splendor, align

With spells and enchantments, we'll defend our land

Under the moon's silver gaze, our spirits expand

From sapphire towers to amethyst skies

Our fantasy will soar, on dragonfly wings we'll rise

Through the gates of pearl, our legends will unfold

In the Moon Realm's mystic heart, our secrets will be told

Through the magnificent waterfalls and giant gates

Oh banners shall forever fly!"

With solemn reverence, King Lansel and Queen Neev passed beneath the crossed blades, a symbolic gesture of protection and honour.

As the crowd erupted into cheers and applause, Lansel and Neev exchanged a knowing glance, their hearts filled with determination to lead their kingdom with wisdom, compassion and unity.

"Long may you reign!"

"Long may you reign!"

The crowd chanted.

All of a sudden, King Lansel noticed someone amongst the crowd. He wasn't smiling nor chanting. He stood there, glaring at Lansel. Lansel's eyes turned darker as a dark glint flashed by his eyes.
