Night...
Niamh was taken to her new chamber. Since she's now the prince's bride, she'll be sharing the new manor with him.
The manor was meticulously decorated in deep royal hues with golden and silver embellishments. The prince was on there, so he maids left the new couple alone.
Lansel was on the upper floor in his bed chamber staring at space through the window. His face was still hard and cold and his eyes were intense and dark, reflecting the wildness of a beast. There's a great tempest going on in those sea green eyes of his.
Niamh was nervous, extremely anxious as she stared at the prince's structured perfect inhuman figure from behind. Somehow, her heart was thumping hard. She took a deep breath and called... "Lansel"
Niamh felt chills when Lansel turned, his cold gaze pierced through her soul, locking her down in the spot that she instantly lost her tongue.
"Lansel" she called again in a whisper.
"Don't call my name" Lansel snapped, there's a certain authority and coldness in his deep voice that made Niamh's muscle twitch.
"My...my prince" she stuttered, bowing her head.
"I'm not your prince!" Lansel snapped again. Niamh flinched at the resentment in his voice. She can't believe the whole of prince Lansel yelling at her for what she's not even sure of why. He took a step forward and stood right in front of her.
"Tell me Neev, you knew you were the goddess but you kept it away from me"
Niamh gasped at his words, like he's suddenly accusing her of being the goddess. For some minutes, she lost her tongue and only shook her head.
"You know it Neev, that's why you invited your family over to witness the wedding. Aren't you so scheming?" Lansel asked, tilting his head and narrowing his gaze.
"I..I don't know anything about it Lansel. I never knew I was the goddess" Niamh stuttered, whispering truthfully.
"Lies! You had it all planned, keeping me in the dark. I was guilty of something I never did. I couldn't even face you! But...you turned out to be the goddess. Why Neev? Why?!" He yelled angrily. He was fuming, unbeknownst to him, it wasn't Neev's fault. Everything was planned by his very own mother.
Niamh shut her eyes as tears streamed down her cheeks. She hated it when someone is yelling at her and the fact that this was coming from Lansel, her beloved, it hurts more than anything else.
Lansel shut her a cold glare and left. The banging of the door was heard followed by Niamh's sobs. She fell on the bed crying profusely. It wasn't her fault, she knew nothing about the whole thing. After a lot, she decided to see the Queen.
The Queen was in her sitting room, with Dionysios and Serephina. She was smiling brightly but when she saw Neev's sad face, her smile faded.
"Neev dear, are you alright?" She asked as she dragged her to the study.
Niamh narrated all that has happened on between sobs.
"That boy! He's really stubborn" Queen Diantha gritted, clenching her fist in annoyance.
"No worries Neev, ho back to your room. I'll talk to him" she added, caressing her cheeks lovingly. Niamh nodded, pouting.
Prince Lansel was standing in the atrium near the Mild Isle, watching the Moon reflecting it's silver light on the lake.
"You're out here on your wedding night?" He heard a voice behind him. Lucretzia came and stood beside him.
"Leave Lucretzia" Lansel replied coldly.
"I was about leaving, your highness. I juts wanted to let you know that all that happened wasn't Neev's fault. You shouldn't have blamed her. She was in great pain when she heard you're getting married" Lucretzia stated and disappeared.
Lansel shut his eyes and sighed. He sensed another presence behind him and he knew who was there. It was his mother. Lansel slowly turned. What followed left him shocked and speechless.
Phaa! A hot slap landed on his left cheek.
