~Family Reunion~
"Good night M'lady" Kieran and Ophelia bowed. They blew off the candles and left. Niamh sighed and hopped down from the bed. She went to the balcony to have some fresh air, wearing her long Ash fury cloak.
In the moonlit realm, where moonlight illuminates its silvery tapestry, she emerged a figure of Grace and radiance. Her silver hair framing a face of porcelain perfection like liquid moonlight. Her silver eyes reflecting the cosmos within a hidden universe. She shut her eyes and enjoyed the cold breeze, captivating every onlooker. A living poem in the quite night.
Prince Lansel was wandering in the Magic Woodland when he sighted Niamh from the balcony. He stood there watching and admiring her. There was a certain emotion in his eyes, he looked sad.
"Neev, I'm sorry this had to happen. I feel guilty for it and I'll try my possible best to end this wedding and get married to you. I can't face you now until I sort things out. Wait for me...my silver cat" he stated as if she'll hear him. Actually she didn't hear him.
Lansel shut his eyes and summoned fireflies. They came flying colourfully towards the balcony where Neev was standing.
Niamh smiled as she saw the fireflies flying towards her. They looked really breathtaking in the dark night. "It's beautiful" she mumbled as she stretched her hand to touch them. The fireflies moved and formed a heart in the mid air.
Niamh gasped in surprise. She giggled happily as she watched the fireflies.
Lansel smiled from where he was standing as he watched her smile. "Be happy, don't think too much. I'll come for you, I promise" he said and disappeared.
Suddenly, Niamh sensed a presence behind her and she snapped her head to have a look. A figure emerged, the spirit of the late Moon Supreme, King Theron Styrix. Niamh gasped, moving backwards in shock and confusion.
"Lady Neev, it's my pleasure meeting you in person" King Theron bowed briefly.
Niamh heaved a deep breath to calm her nerves.
'Don't freak out, it's alright. Calm down. Here you go' she chanted in her brain.
"Pleasures, King Theron" she reciprocated with a bow.
"I'll assume you know me too well" he shot her a charming smile.
"Aye, the late Moon Supreme of this great kingdom. I've heard a lot about you from mother" Niamh replied cooly.
"Don't leave the realm, Lady Neev" he suddenly stated and Neev furrowed her brows.
"It would be disastrous" he added.
"But it's only dangerous when I stay here. Damien will launch a war to take me" Niamh replied.
"No, he may launch a war to take you but once you leave, the realm will crumble and only you can save it" King Theron tried convincing her.
Niamh seem to think for a while and she said
"But prince Lansel is getting married. Him and his wife can rule and save the world" it felt really awful saying the word 'his wife'. Somehow she's really hurt thinking about it.
King Theron noticed her sudden change and patted her arm. " Nothing can be possible without you"
"What does that mean?" Niamh asked, staring intently at him.
"When the right time comes, you'll know. For now, don't leave the realm no matter what" there's a hint of warning as he said that. Then he disappeared. With heavy heart and scattered mind, Niamh went to sleep.
Next Day...
Niamh woke up with a gasp. She was sweating profusely and her heart was beating wildly. She dreamt that Damien took her mother away when she refused to come with him to Develdion.
She was confused. No, she was restless. She need to see her family to make sure they are fine and safe. Without thinking twice, she hopped down from the bed. Kieran and Ophelia walked in almost immediately.
"Good morning, M'lady" they bowed.
"Morning Kieran and Ophelia" she reciprocated.
"You look off M'lady, are you alright?" Ophelia asked.
"I need to see mother" Niamh replied.
"Her majesty ordered us to freshen you up, you're having breakfast with her" Kieran stated. And so, they freshen her up. And she went to meet the Queen.
The guards opened up the large door leading to the dining room and Niamh walked in. Inside the dining room, whoever Niamh sees is unbelievable for her. She saw the Queen, princess Neriah, prince Dionysios, and three other people she least expected to see. It was her mother, Xerxes and Aine!
They all had shocked expressions as they sighted the figure that was standing. Xerxes was first to sprang his feet up.
"Neev!" He rushed to her and pulled her into a hug.
"Xerxes" Niamh's voice was barely audible.
"I missed you. Why did you leave?" Xerxes asked, hugging her tightly as if she'll disappear the moment he let go of her.
"I'm sorry" was all Niamh could muster as tears rolled down her cheeks. Aine joined them in the hug.
After a lot, they disentangled and Niamh strode towards her mother.
"Mother!" She hugged her.
"Oh dearest!" Serephina reciprocated as she hugged her back. Patting her back warmly.
"I missed you mother m I'm sorry I left without saying a word. I just had to do that to keep you safe" Niamh stated. They disentangled and Serephina cupped her cheeks.
"I'm glad you're safe"
"What a wonderful family reunion" Queen Diantha commented and they turned to her, smiling.
"Good morning mother and thank you for making it possible for me to meet my family. Niamh is intrinsically grateful" Niamh bowed.
"Do rise, my dear. It's my pleasure" Queen Diantha beamed.
"You're glowing Neev" Awn-yah whispered making Neev chuckle.
"I know right, sea doing great in the Moon Realm. I hope you all will enjoy your stay here" Queen Diantha smiled. They all settled as the maids served the royal delicacies while they chatted about how Niamh ended up in the Moon Realm.
"Dennis, where's Lansel?" Queen Diantha asked.
"I have no idea, mother. I haven't seen him since last morning" Dionysios replied. Niamh's mind suddenly drifted to Lansel. Somehow, she'd finally admitted that Lansel is truly getting married and he doesn't want her that's why he never came to see her.
"You ain't eating dear Neev"
