Chapter 62 - Chapter 61

Draco let out a heavy sigh, "Clair, come with me. Let's go wake her up," he said, his curiosity piqued by Dimitra's report.

He was determined to see it for himself, though he told himself it was for 'legal loli research purposes' only.

"Hmm," Clair briefly replied, as she got up to follow Draco.

He had asked Clair to follow him, so he didn't end up thinking or doing anything weird to Bahamut after seeing her sleeping face.

He was well aware that he had been acting strange when alone with Bahamut since the previous day..

"The rest of you should start preparing your armor and arranging the dungeon bags we'll be using, as we agreed yesterday," Draco addressed the group.

"Hai, leave it to the future vice-captain. I will watch over them," Michalis yelled, puffing out his chest with pride.

"Huh, who made you a candidate in the first place?" Vasiliki interjected, narrowing her eyes at Michalis.

"Yeah, he's gotten a bit too cocky since yesterday. We should probably teach him a lesson. Don't you think so too, Vasileios?" Nikolaos added, glancing over at his brother.

"Hmm, I think we should," Vasileios replied, a mischievous glint in his eye.

Soon, the three were engaged in a playful tussle on the ground, much to Draco's exasperation.

"Sigh, let's just go. Bahamut might already be awake from the commotion they're making," Draco said to Clair, leading the way towards Bahamut's room.

As they approached the door, it suddenly opened, revealing a sleepy-eyed Bahamut.

She wore a cute, frilly nightgown that clung to her petite frame in a somewhat alluring way, her long, silver hair disheveled and her tail dragging limply across the floor.

"Ouch!" Bahamut let out a cute yelp as she accidentally bumped one of her horns against the doorframe, the impact clearing some of the sleepiness from her eyes.

'Damn, I didn't get to see her sleeping but this …..,' Draco thought, clenching his fist in frustration.

"Good morning, Bahamut," Draco greeted her with a warm smile.

"Huh, Draco? Why are you here? Is it morning already?" Bahamut lazily said, looking around sleepily.

She then let out a cute yawn and rubbed her eyes, before turning around and heading back into her room.

Without a word, she jumped onto her bed and promptly fell back asleep, leaving Draco and Clair in an awkward silence.

After a moment, Clair broke the silence, "Uhm, what should we do?"

Draco let out another sigh, "Sigh, we should wake her up," he replied, walking into the room, which was strewn with various items scattered across the floor and bed.

'It's a good thing that she's freely showing us her sloppy side. It's a sign that she trusts us this much,' Draco thought, a small smile playing on his lips.

Approaching Bahamut's bed, Draco gently scooped her up, hoisting her over his shoulder.

Clair quickly catching onto his intentions, grabbed a towel from the mess in the room and followed closely behind as Draco carried Bahamut to the bathroom.

Entering the bathroom, Draco unceremoniously dropped Bahamut into the bathtub.

"I'll leave the rest to you," he said, leaving Clair alone with the sleepy goddess.

"Kyaa!" Bahamut's high-pitched squeal echoed through the house as Clair began to undress her and bathe her with some cold water, rousing her from her slumber.

Back in the living room, Dimitra approached Draco, curious to know what had happened.

Michalis, Vasileios, and Nikolaos also stopped their tussling and joined them, eager to hear Draco's report.

Draco briefly explained the situation, mentioning her sloppy look, cute clothing and her sleepy demeanor, much to the others' amusement.

"Ah, so that's what Dimitra saw," Michalis said, nodding in understanding.

"Yes, and I must say, she looked quite adorable in that state," Draco admitted.

'Ah, what the hell am I saying to them' Draco thought, realizing he had spoken out-loud.

Vasileios chuckled, "Careful, Draco nii. You're starting to sound a bit too invested in our goddess well-being." he said.

Nikolaos elbowed Vasileios playfully, "Oh, come on, let the man enjoy the view. We all know he has been acting a bit different since yesterday" he added.

Draco cleared his throat, trying to regain his composure.

"Ahem, in any case, we should focus on preparing for the upcoming dungeon delve. Clair is taking care of Bahamut for now." he said.

The group nodded in agreement and began to systematically organize their equipment and supplies, each member taking on a specific task to ensure they were well-prepared for their first adventure.

Meanwhile, in the bathroom, Clair continued to bathe Bahamut, taking great care to ensure their sleepy goddess was properly cleaned and refreshed.

Bahamut, now more alert, looked up at Clair with a grateful expression.

"Thank you, Clair. I'm sorry for the trouble," Bahamut said softly, her cheeks flushed from the cool water.

Clair smiled reassuringly, "It's no trouble at all, Bahamut-san" she replied.

Bahamut nodded, an odd warm feeling spreading through her chest, this was another new experience for her.

As Clair helped her out of the bathtub and dried her off, Bahamut couldn't help but feel a deeper sense of connection with the children of her familia, grateful for their care and attention.

A few minutes later.....

Bahamut was sitting in the living room, her expression a bit pouty.

The others couldn't help but think how cute she looked.

Draco approached her, apologizing for the hurried morning rush.

"Sorry for what happened, but we were a bit short on time. Will this be enough to make amends?" he said, offering her some tasty treats they had bought for her breakfast.

It was understandable that anyone would be upset about being woken up in such a way, as she had mentioned the previous day that she wasn't a morning person.

However, Bahamut was an approachable and easygoing goddess, at least towards them.

Draco felt that everyone in their group should be natural and transparent with one another.

There was no need for hidden agendas or actions with concealed meanings within a familia.

"Hmph, don't think you'll be forgiven that easily," Bahamut said, snatching the food from Draco's hands.

She was embarrassed to say that, she was happy being freely treated like one of them.

After she finished eating, Draco put on his cloak, hiding his features, and called for a carriage to take them to the guild so they could register their familia.

He didn't want to draw too much attention on the streets if they walked.

It didn't take long for them to arrive at the guild, it wasn't far from her house.

As expected, there were many curious gazes directed at their group, especially towards Bahamut.

Her unusual appearance as a dragon goddess was quite eye-catching.

Ignoring the onlooker, they entered the guild.

Looking around, Draco led his familia to the waiting area while he went to find out which booth they needed to visit to register their familia.

It didn't take long for him to locate a guild employee who directed him to the right line.

The line wasn't long, so they soon made it to the front desk.

"Good morning, how can I help you?" the guild employee greeted.

Bahamut stepped forward to represent the group.

"Morning, I would like to register my familia," she said.

"I see, give me a second," the employee replied, looking around and grabbing some forms for Bahamut to fill out.

"Here, please fill these forms," the employee said politely.

The forms required basic information like the name of the familia, the patron god or goddess, the number of familia members, their levels, ages, and other essential details.

"Here, I'm done," Bahamut said, quickly filling out the form.

After submitting the completed forms, a fee of 50,000 Valis was requested to finalize the registration, which Draco promptly paid.

"Please come this way," the guild employee said, leading them to another room.

"According to our records, it shows you all have received some form of formal training, but the dungeon is quite dangerous for newcomers. In accordance with the guild rules, a guild advisor will be assigned to your familia to ensure that they survive longer," the employee stated.

"That's okay with us," Bahamut replied.

The guild employee quickly left the room to search for a free advisor to assign to the newly formed Bahamut Familia.

While they waited, Draco turned to the others and said.

"Well, that went smoothly. I'm glad we're officially registered now. Having a guild advisor should provide us with some extra guidance and support as we navigate the dungeon." Dimitra nodded, her expression thoughtful.

"Yes, that's a reasonable precaution. I'm curious to see who the guild will assign to us." she replied.

Bahamut, the goddess of their familia, smiled warmly.

"I'm sure they'll send someone capable and experienced. This is an exciting new chapter for you all. I can't wait to see what adventures and feats you will all perform." she added.

The others in the familia shared in the enthusiasm, discussing their plans and expectations for the future.

Bahamut listened intently, occasionally offering her own insights and suggestions.

After a short while, the guild employee returned with a tall, stern-looking Chientrope woman in tow.

"This is Rose Fannett, one of our seasoned advisors. She will be assigned to your familia to provide guidance and support during their explorations of the dungeon." the guild employee introduced.

Rose stepped forward, her gaze sweeping over the group.

"Greetings, members of the Bahamut Familia. I look forward to working with you and ensuring your safe passage through the challenges that lie ahead." she said.

Draco although surprised, stepped forward to shake the advisor's hand.

'What are the chances of her being our guild advisor' Draco thought.

"It's an honor to have you with us, Rose Fannett. We'll be sure to heed your advice and work closely with you to achieve our goals." he replied.

Rose nodded, not even a bit amused or moved.

She had heard the same words from several adventurers and yet they all still died.

Bahamut also approached the advisor, her regal bearing commanding attention.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Rose Fannett. I trust your expertise will be invaluable to my children." she said, her eyes narrowing at Rose.

Rose was a bit taken aback by the unusual familia, but quickly regained her professional composure.

She inclined her head respectfully. "I shall do my utmost to ensure their success, my lady" she replied.

With the introductions made, the group settled in to discuss their next steps with Rose, they were eager to begin their first dungeon dive.
