Three months later…
Three more months had passed since Chise gave birth.
A few major things occurred within these few months that had passed.
For one, the new house was completed before winter, which officially began two weeks ago.
It wasn't easy, but with enough money and a lot of workers, they managed to get it done.
The second news was that Draco was now officially one year old; his situation didn't really change much.
He was found around December of the last year, so his birthday was set on the day they found him since they didn't know his exact birth date.
The family simply enjoyed some of the best food they could make in celebration.
Sadly, Draco couldn't partake in most of the best meals due to his age.
The third event was that Rose and her daughter Clair decided to sell her house and move in with them.
Everyone was fine with it, so the transition didn't take long.
The final good news was that all the children were healthy and survived till their name day, which was today.
"Ok, so who will be going first?" Rita eagerly asked. She was a bit excited to tell everyone the name she chose.
"We will go from the first born to the last," Chise replied.
"So Mark, what name did you decide on for your first son?" Anita asked.
"It was tough, but I decided to go with Michalis, meaning connected to god," Mark named his first son who was a cat person.
"Sweetie your next" Rita said.
"For the first girl, I went with Eleni, meaning sun rays opposite of her black hair and fur," Chise named her first daughter who was a cat person like her.
The rest of the naming was left to their parents.
"Ok, I guess I am next. I went with Nikolaos for the second boy, meaning champion of the people," Marcus named the second-born boy who was a Chientrope.
'Ok, why are all my siblings' names so cool while mine is just meh. Did the Dragon gods have a grudge against me or something?' Draco pondered while being firmly held in Rita's arms.
It was very hard to get away from her for some reason.
"That's a great name, but I won't lose. Hehehe!" I decided the name with little Draco here," Rita chuckled while waving Draco's tiny arms at the others.
'Tsk, I tried ignoring this woman, but she made me listen to nearly 200 names and still decided by herself based on something trivial,' Draco grumbled within.
"The name of the second-born daughter is...… Dimitra, meaning follower of Demeter. Her green hair just reminded me of plants," Rita said. She was a Chientrope.
Clap ! Clap !
"Ahem' that's a great name mother" Chise said while clapping. She was sure that everyone was thinking the same thing.
"Ahem, not bad. I went with Vasileios for the last boy, meaning Royal or Kingly," John named the last boy.
"What an odd coincidence, I went with Vasiliki for the last girl, meaning Royal girl," Anita announced. After the naming, the main celebration began.
They were the kotpies.
Sniff! Sniff!
"Why are you crying?" Mark asked Chise who suddenly started crying.
"I am just so happy that everyone put so much thought into naming our children and helping us so much. They may be our parents, but they are still taking this much care of us even after what we did," Chise replied.
"I get what you mean, we are truly blessed," Mark said while gazing at the joy and laughter the celebration brought.
"Indeed we are," Chise replied. That day, despite the cold winter breeze blowing outside, within the black family home, the echoes of warm joy and laughter reverberated through the surrounding.
Three years later...….
Three years had passed since Draco's birth. Things had been going pretty well for the Black family.
Clair, Draco, Michalis, Eleni, Nikolaos, Dimitra, Vasileios, and Vasiliki had grown.
Draco and Clair were around 4 years old while the others were 3 years old.
Today was just another day on the farm, just like they had planned 3 years ago.
Soon after winter ended, construction began for making a farm.
Animals and seeds were bought, and farming officially began.
The farm wasn't initially made for commercial purposes; farming was hard work after all, just a little side project for their retirement.
Weirdly, about 2 years ago, what began as a side project soon grew into a commercial business.
They underestimated their strength as former adventurers, performing feats that would take a normal farmer weeks in days.
Before they knew it, they were generating a surplus which they needed to get rid of quickly.
At first, they simply gave the excess to neighbors and villagers, but Anita scolded the men, saying that they were being too generous.
So they began to sell their produce in the market, which somehow grew bigger than they anticipated.
Now they had to expand the farm and hire people to do the jobs that they didn't have time for.
"Not like that Draco, so move more gently like…" John tried to say. He was teaching Draco how to milk a cow.
"Like what?" Draco asked, knowing his grandfather John was about to make a dirty joke but stopped since he realized that Draco was only 4 years old.
"Uhm, nothing, just do it like me," John replied.
"Ok," Draco replied letting him off. He had been curious how a cows nipples felt like for a while but was a bit scared of touching the cow alone.
He was aware that one annoyed kick from a cow, was enough to do some serious damage to him.
He had a lot of free time and hadn't officially begun any training to become an adventurer.
He had tried asking both Marcus and John but they bluntly refused, saying that he was too young.
The only thing that he had done was record the broken knowledge he had about the Danmachi world in a secret notebook that was crazy expensive to get.
"Just keep practicing, I will be back in a bit," John said as someone had come to inform him about something.
"Sure," Draco replied while milking the cow, watching as milk squirted into the bucket.
"Waaaah! Draco nii," a sudden cry startled Draco.
Looking at the source, he could see Vasiliki covered in what looked to be poo.
'How did that happen?' Draco wondered.
"Shhh, what happened?" Draco asked, trying not to let her get too close to him. The smell was a bit too intense for his enhanced senses.
"I... it... it's... Sniff!... Vasi... Vasious," Vasiliki struggled to say while crying.
"It's okay, calm down and speak," Draco calmly said.
"Sniff! Vasiois took butterfly hair and run, and then, and then, and then," Vasiliki still struggled to speak.
"And then what?" Draco patiently asked.
"And then I run after Vasiois and fell in Momo poo, Waaaaah!!" Vasiliki finally completed her story.
'Ok, so Vasileios stole her butterfly hairpin. She chased him and then fell in Momo's poo. Momo is her favourite cow right ?' Draco surmised.
'Oh my, she just called him three different names. I am surprised that I can even understand what happened. Impressive me' Draco thought.
"Oh my poor little sister, don't cry. I will take you back home to have a bath. After that, I will catch that naughty Vasileios," Draco said, softly consoling her.
"Sniff! Really?" Vasiliki questioned.
"Yeah, sure, but before that, let's go inside and clean you up first," Draco replied.
As he walked, Vasiliki followed him and then grabbed his hand.
'Oh no, there is poo on her hands,' Draco screamed internally, but she smiled when she looked at him, so he let her be.
Upon arriving home, Chise saw how dirty Vasiliki looked.
"Oh my, what happened to your clothes?" Chise asked as soon as they got home.
Draco then told her what happened, left Vasiliki with their mother, and washed his hands before going out to look for Vasileios.
