Chapter 10 - Fall of Mr.Blue Sky {End of Intermission}

Two Aperture Science Personality Cores are adrift in space. It has been this way for the last two years. Why are they in space? Well, that can be because of a myriad of reasons. It could be the case that these cores were sent to space to study the galaxy. Or they could of been on route to some other planet when a catastrophic event jettisoned them from their space-faring vessel. It might. And I do enfaces the word might. It might of been the fault of one handsome core, who may "may" of been drunk with power and had been placed in control of a highly technical laboratory that maybe. Just maybe. Maybe had no idea of how to run and might have to be stopped from overloading the power supply and destroying the facility. They couldn't of just disconnected that core. No, they had to strand that core in space with no way of getting home. With a core that is obsessed with space.

"So much space. Need to see it all." Space Core

"I wish I could take it all back. I honestly do wish I could take it all back. And not just because I'm stranded in space." Wheatley

"I'm in space." Space Core

"I know you are, mate. Yup. We're both in space." Wheatley

"SPAAACE!" Space Core

"Anyway, you know, if I was ever to see her again, do you know what I'd say?" Wheatley

"I'm in space." Space Core

"I'd say I'm sorry. Sincerely. I am sorry. I was bossy and monstrous and I am genuinely sorry." Wheatley

"Hole in Space." Space Core

"The end." Wheatley

" Space hole." Space Core

"What?" Wheatley

"Hole in Space. Behind you." Space Core

"What? Ohhhh, that's a hole… It seems I'm drifting towards it quite quickly. So I guess this is goodbye mate, cheers." Wheatley

"Goodbye. Now back to space. There's a star. There's another one. Star star star sta-" Space Core was cut off by Wheatly no longer being in the same universe as the Space Core.

Wheatley was falling into some kind of time-space vortex. "Wait what is a Police Call box doing here? Ahhhhhhhhh!" Wheatley hit the blue box and was thrown out of the time vortex. "Oww, now where oh. Earth! I'm falling towards earth. Wait I'm coming in too fast!" Wheatley

"Warning Exterior Haul OVERHEATING. To perceive functionality starting emergency shutdown." Announcer

"Wait wha-" Wheatley was shut down.

Wheatley crashed landed at the X-22 Botanical Garden killing all the living flora and fauna in a 100-meter area in a burning creator. No spore carrier was spared in the inferno. Dr.Klien swore Dr.Mobius was behind this. Dr.Mobius was too high off weed to care at the moment.

Father Elijah was well on his way out of the Big MT. He felt the tunnel he had shake from whatever made that large impact in the Big MT. He thought of turning around and taking a look but he was already to far in to turn back. He had already got what he wanted out of The Big MT. His plans lie elsewhere. The Sierra Madre the gas and the holograms there would make his dream of retaking Vegas from the NCR and those fools of the Legion possible.

Christine and Ulysses were making their way out of the Y-17 Medical Facility. The elevator got stopped for a minute before the emergency power switched on and they were able to leave Y-17 Medical Facility seeing the burning ruins in the far distance. The two of them made their way to Ulysses's base. Christine still had to heal. Ulysses had some questions he needed to ask the old Gods of the Big MT. But he would make sure Christine was healthy before going to meet them.

Vault 3 Meeting

"I have finished cleaning up the flooding and doing all repairs to anything that got damaged in the flood. The part is now in place we are no longer in danger of our water running out anytime soon. Nothing else to report for maintenance needs for the Vault." Chief Maintenance Engineer Vincent Vanmiler

"Food supplies are fine nothing to report." Vinegar Edwards

"We're running low on medical supplies and 80% of the committee of external relations have been confirmed kill in action. All of that 80% happened to go to Vault 22. Most of them died inside that Vault the rest were killed before they could return. Their corpses were incinerated. From a report that was submitted from Michelle Dalian Pip-Boy. Vault 22 was infected by a highly dangerous spore-based parasite that would kill its host and then puppet the corpse to spread its spores. Likely the only reason the parasite didn't leave Vault 22 was that the puppets would lose all forms of sight and only depend on sound for direction of wear to attack. The spores would die if ignited. Michelle Dalian took her own life shortly after sending that message." Doctor Honny Edwards

"Well, you will be happy to learn that we have made a connection to a group of doctors and researchers known as the Followers of the Apocalypse. They are willing to help with our medical supplies if they can set up a clinic in Vault 3. Mick and Ralph's would like to set up a small shop in Vault 3. And Mr.House has offered us two of his Securitrons if we give him our medical records, full list of our pre-war genetic samples, and a 5% tax on our GDP per year." Abbygale Lincoln current leader of the committee of external relations

"I still think it's too soon for us to open ourselves up to the outside world." Micheal Robinson

"Your concern has been noted, Robinson. Abbyagle feel free to let the Followers know that we accept their proposal. I will also accept Mr.House's offer. The added security might put our local safety enthusiasts at peace of mind. And inform Mick and Ralph's that they are not allowed to sell explosives or ammo above 10MM. We the citizens of Vault Vill are interested in a safe society. Now on to my only announcement. The former resident of Vault 3 Mukuro Cross is banished from ever returning to Vault 3 or Vault Vill. That is all." Overseer George Stault

"Wait didn't she single handly save our Vault? Not once but twice?" Doctor Honny Edwards

"It may have saved us from a threat of a nasty local gang. It gave us the part that our Vault needed to continue running. But it left without permission and it was the one responsible for the deaths of those trying to get back from Vault 22. For it's service to our Vault 3 we are not placing a bounty on it's head. But for it's crimes banishment is a minimum for what it has done. I see no further need for discussion on Mukuro Cross. This meeting is declared over." Overseer George Stault

After almost everyone left Micheal Robinson commented. "Vault Vill is a dumb name."

"It could be worse. I heard from a traveler there was once a place they visited called the Republic of Dave. Vault Vill at least has alliteration going for it." Abbygale Lincoln

In the years before the Great War, Big Mountain had been the home to the brightest minds of the 21st century. Scientists of vision were drawn to the facility to tackle the greatest technological challenges of the era. They sought to create a new world, fueled by technology, for the benefit of all mankind.

Sonic emitters, space age alloys, DNA hybridization, force field particle research, Auto-Doc advances in cranial, cardiac, trauma surgery… the hopes and dreams of a century became realities in the electronic forges of Big Mountain.

The nucleus of this research was the Dome, a huge stone facility that held the labs of every science known to man. It was a think tank where no problem could not be solved, where no question could not be answered.

The Great War brought a new energy to Big Mountain and its scientists. Although sheltered from the frontlines, the scientists waged their own war, fighting their battles at the atomic level. Equations and calculations marched endlessly across chalkboards and computer terminals toward one solution: Winning the war.

For years, the minds and computers of Big Mountain were a blaze of trajectories, weapon schematics, and nuclear theories. The problems began to outpace the solutions, first geometrically, then exponentially. As the war escalated, so did the questions.

On the night of October 23rd, 2077, the scientists received an answer that put all their questions to rest. In the aftermath, Big Mountain's silent experiments went to sleep, their creators slowly dying in the new world that had been left behind. And the great stone in the middle of the Big Empty lay untouched, filled with countless technological wonders… Wonders that, in the end had been answers to the wrong question.

I woke up feeling cold and heavier. I was on a balcony wearing nothing but a patient's gown. Looking around I saw the sights of the Big MT. I was a little shocked to see smoke coming from the north. I shook my head and went to finally enter The Sink.
