Ethan's POV

I took a deep breath and nodded. "Yes, I am ready."

The chamber changed, and suddenly I found myself in a frozen wasteland. The air was bitterly cold, and snowflakes danced around me. I knew this was the first part of my trial—mastering ice magic.

As I closed my eyes and focused on the cold energy around me, I felt the chill seep into my bones. Instead of resisting, I embraced it, allowing the icy energy to flow through me and merge with my own magic. With a wave of my hand, I attempted to create an ice fortress, but my inexperience caused it to crumble almost immediately.

Frustration crept in as I struggled to control the swirling blizzard. "I can do this," I muttered to myself, trying again to conjure the fortress. This time, the ice held, but the storm intensified, swirling around me with wild ferocity.

"You must find the calm within the storm, Ethan," the voice echoed in my mind. "Embrace the cold. Let it become a part of you."
