When Ethan opened his eyes, he saw a white ceiling. His head aching badly, he held it with both hands. Ethan asked, "Did I black out again because of the transformation?"
"Yup," the system replied with only one word.
Suddenly, everything came back to him before he fell unconscious. "Kate, how is she? Is she okay?" Ethan hurriedly asked, feeling anxious.
"Don't worry, she is alive. It's a good thing she was in the capital city; otherwise, she wouldn't have survived," the system explained.
Ethan was puzzled by this connection to the capital city. "Because there are lots of supernatural beings in the capital city, and some with healing abilities," the system clarified.
"Oh," Ethan nodded in understanding. "What about Elaina? Where is she?"
"She just went outside to buy dinner for the two of you," the system replied.
"Two of us? Kate is also here?" Ethan asked.
