Chapter 2 - WOMANIZER

Hana vented her frustrations, her remarks were full of contempt. "Ugh! I can't stand that guy! Every time I see him, he manages to get on my nerves." With a frustrated sigh, she slammed her cup down onto the table, the anger is obvious in her actions.

Jihoon raised an eyebrow, her interest was intrigued. "Who are you talking about?" she asked.

"That stingy womanizer, Choi Woojin," Hana replied, her tone dripping with anger.

"Woojin? The doctor at our hospital?" Jihoon asked for explanation.

"Yes, who else?" Hana retorted sharply. "He's the only womanizer I know, and his tricks are unmatched," she declared firmly.

"Why do you despise him so much? You've been calling him a womanizer since our freshman years," Jihoon pressed further, her curiosity did not hesitate.

Hana scoffed, clearly irritated. "Because that's exactly what he is," she insisted. "And no, he hasn't caught my heart. He's the last person on earth I'd ever fall for," she added with a sarcastically wave of her hand.

"But that's not how I remember it," Jihoon teased, a mischievous gleam in her eyes.

With the lapse of time, the scene turned into a vague memory to their freshman years. Hana and Jihoon stood in the middle of the orientation crowd, surrounded by people excited about fresh starts. Excitement was in the air, but there was also a sense of nervousness that hung over the room like a veil. Hana and Jihoon's paths crossed at this time of youthful excitement. Jihoon took the initiative and confidently stepped up to make her introduction. Her welcoming smile and comfortable attitude relieved the stress in the air, providing a reassuring glow.

"Hi, I'm Lee Jihoon. What about you?" she greeted warmly with a charming smile.

"Oh, I'm Kim Hana," Hana replied, feeling a bit taken aback by her friendly approach.

Jihoon couldn't help but notice Hana's occasional glances towards another figure in the room. "I noticed you keep looking at him," Jihoon remarked, nodding subtly towards Woojin.

Hana's gaze flickered towards Woojin, who was surrounded by a group of giggling girls. "He's always surrounded by girls," she whispered to herself, a hint of disdain in her voice.

"What?" Jihoon asked, catching her words.

Hana quickly brushed it off with a convincing tone. "Oh, it's nothing. I just think he's such a womanizer. We're better off staying away from a guy like him," she declared, her words filled with conviction.

Jihoon raised an eyebrow, her sense of humor was obvious. "That's not what I observed though. Earlier, I saw your eyes filled with jealousy," she teased, a knowing smile playing on her lips.

Hana's cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "N-no! What are you talking about?" she stammered, her blush betraying her words. "Let's just go. A guy like him is not worth our time," she insisted, eager to change the subject.

Back to the present moment, Jihoon's teasing remarks brought Hana back to reality. "I clearly remember the look on your face while you were staring at him. It was a mix of joy and jealousy," she said, crossing her arms with a playful smirk.

The scene shifts to the gym, where Woojin is in the middle of a workout. Yoo Jihoon, Woojin's long-time friend since middle school, joins him.

"Why do you keep smiling like a fool? It's giving me the creeps," Jihoon said sarcastically.

"Do you remember Kim Hana from our middle school?" Woojin asks.

"Of course, how could I forget," Jihoon replies with a sigh, with subtle jealousy.

"She's still as feisty as ever," Woojin remarks with a chuckle.

"Yeah, and she's cute when she's fired up," Jihoon adds, his cheeks flushing slightly. "And she kinda looks like a cat when she whines," he continues with a laugh.

"What's gotten into you, man? You had a thing for that girl or something?" Woojin said sarcastically.

"Hey, she's got a name you know. And what if I did?" Jihoon replies, his tone turning defensive as he heads out.

"Hey, where are you going?" Woojin calls out. "I was just kidding," he adds, feeling confused. "Is he serious? How can he think she's cute? Although, I guess she does have a cat-like charm when she's upset," Jihoon mumbles to himself, feeling a bit embarrassed as he realizes he's talking too much to himself.

As Woojin drove home, he spotted Hana at the bus stop. Pulling over, he rolled down his window with a friendly smile. "Well, if it isn't Med Tech Hana. What a coincidence!"

Hana's smile was forced, clearly annoyed. "Hello, Dr. Choi."

"Need a lift?" Woojin interrupted before she could decline.

"N-no, th-"

"Alright then, you better catch that bus." He chuckled, stepping on the gas.

"That jerk," Hana muttered, flipping him off as he drove away. "It's only Saturday, and he's already ruining my week." She said with anger. "Does that man eat something rotten or what, maybe he has a loose screw. I feel bad for his patients." Sighed, shaking her head.
