A fleet of black humanoid Mechs with circular disks imprinted on their chest plates was fighting a battle in the hills against numerous red and white Mechs.
"Who the hell are you people? Don't you know we are the troops stationed here on the borders of the Blackboard region?" one of the black Mechs roared aloud.
The answer to his question came in the form of a white steel trident that pierced the cockpit at chest height.
"No...!" Bang! The black Mech exploded in a ball of flame. The red and white Mech directly in front of it withdrew its trident, apparently letting out some laughter.
"Open fire!"
The remaining black Mechs readied their two-handed cannons and began firing in the direction of the white and red Mechs.
Cannon shots began to fall from the sky, but somehow none of the shots managed to land near the white and red Mechs.
"Too slow! Too slow! Too slow! Hahaha!" laughed one of the white and red Mechs, easily dodging the cannon shots coming his way. With a quick swing of his trident, he managed to pierce the chest of another black Mech.
Burst!
Another burst into a ball of flame.
Meanwhile, the remaining black Mechs were between a rock and a hard place. Comparing the pilots' abilities to those of the Mechs, the black Mechs were far inferior to the white and red Mechs in both respects. At this point, their front lines had been almost completely annihilated.
It was at this point that a huge black Mech began to rise from below.
"How dare you invade my Blackboard region!" this black Mech clad in a Viking helmet roared aloud.
With a sword in one hand and a shield in the other, the Mech charged straight toward the white and red Mechs above.
As it climbed, it passed a white and red Mech that was out of position. With a flash of silver light, a clean cut appeared in the cockpit of the white and red Mech. After a couple of sparks, the entire Mech exploded and crashed to the ground.
"Invaders, go to hell!"
The Viking-helmeted Mech let out another hoarse roar. It raised its shield, pointed the pointed edge of the center of its shield at the red and white Mech in the lead and charged straight at it.
"Finally, someone who's somewhat decent showed up," the white and red Mech let out a chuckle. With a twist, it began to dive downwards as it launched its trident towards its opponent. At the same time, the Mech's mouth began to turn slightly red as it opened its mouth.
Boom!!!
A bright red laser was fired from its mouth, directed towards the Viking's helmet mech.
"What, a laser in the mouth?
But this kind of particle doesn't stand a chance against my shield! You idiot!"
What he didn't realize was that the particle beam wasn't aimed at him, but at the trident handle he had thrown earlier with the utmost precision, which created a huge explosion.
Bam!
In a cloud of smoke, the trident was propelled by the explosion, causing it to accelerate to tremendous speeds and even break the sound barrier. In an instant, it struck the side of the black mech's shield.
Klank!
The Viking Helmet Mech's shield flew off and a large chunk of its upper right shoulder was ripped off by the trident, exposing the malfunctioning circuit boards.
At the last moment, he had managed to pull his Mech away using high-level piloting skill, and narrowly escaped death. However, this near-death experience definitely left him drenched in cold sweat.
Hearing the sound of the trident crashing to the ground, the Viking-helmeted Mech no longer underestimated his opponent. He raised his two-handed sword as he stared at his opponent with absolute concentration.
"Oh? You managed to dodge that. You're not so bad." The leader of the red and white Mechs had a glowing green gem embedded in his chest plate, looking slightly different from the other red and white Mechs. Although the voice from inside the Mech had been electronically altered greatly, from that monotone line, he could sense the mocking tone the opponent had.
"Who are you?!" the Viking-helmeted Mech shouted aloud.
"I am Commander Bender of the 7th squadron of the armed forces stationed on the borders of the Blackboard region! State your names! Invaders!"
"Your level should be almost around level 4, not bad," the red and white Mech chuckled coldly, "but that's as far as you'll get."
"We've wasted enough time, Milu."
Out of nowhere, another black electric ball appeared next to the white and red Mech. From inside the ball, out came another white and red Mech with a similar green gem on its chest plate, with the same electronically altered voice. "The leaders will be here soon, let's stop wasting time."
"Understood! Understood! I rarely get the chance to participate in these expeditions, so I had a little too much fun."
The Viking-helmeted Mech began to feel in danger.
"Another one!?" He frantically pressed the emergency report button in the Mech's cockpit.
"Let's end this quickly!" the second Mech said coldly.
"Stop nagging me!"
The two Mechs suddenly launched themselves at high speed, far exceeding their previous movement speed, as well as the willpower reaction speed of a level 4 mech pilot. The movement left a green streak in the sky.
The two green trails crossed right at the location of the Viking-helmeted Mech attempting to escape. After the exchange, the two Mechs appeared once again.
Explosion!!!
The hull of the Viking Mech immediately exploded and was engulfed in flames as it crashed to the ground.
At the same time, the other black Mechs were also taken out one by one, exploding into fireballs.
Some of the white and red Mechs moved to the ground to pick up the remains of their fallen allies. After collecting everything, they charged towards the Blackboard Region. After a while, the sky was once again filled with countless silhouettes of Mechs. They were all white and red Mechs, and one of them left a trail of green light as it moved. They formed a huge "Light" character in the sky, which stood out greatly.
"Pick up the pace. Once we get close to the target, everyone will disperse and move individually. We will regroup once again at the target location, understood?" the green light Mech gave orders as they flew through the sky.
"Understood," echoed the four voices.
The synchronized response showed the amount of discipline this group had.
This team consisted of 4 green gem Mechs, all with a bright green diamond gem embedded in their white and red Mechs. If the Viking helmeted Mech that had just been defeated had seen this, he would have been in shock.
The green gem on the mechs symbolized that they were Mech pilots who were almost at level 5. Now, there were four of these people alone within this team. However, what was more frightening was that the one leading this group was someone who was even stronger. It was someone who exceeded even level 5.
Suddenly, the green-lit Mech turned its attention to its right.
"That was unexpectedly fast," said a red-haired man in a white mask inside the Mech, his head down. His Mech followed suit and assumed a fighting stance.
"It's the Blackboard Academy Elites, Sir Guccidor!" the entire team stopped immediately as one of the green gem Mechs reported.
"They must be the elite students stationed at the nearby academy branch. Don't be too fooled, these kinds of enemies are at least level 3 and above," the Guccidor leader warned calmly. "The opponent has level 5 Instructor level experts in their ranks. If we fail to finish this confrontation within 2 minutes, all members will disperse and retreat."
"Yes!"
Guccidor calmly watched the fire-red Mech flying in the distance.
"Level 5 expert... Fiery Kaizen! How interesting..." he let out a small smile.
Klank!
A straight alloy knife erupted from his Mech's arm.
The two Mechs began a fierce battle.
...
Inside his room, Noah looked at the large pile of white rainbow stones in front of him.
"This should be enough."
Rubbing his chin, he pulled four cryogenic capsules and two individuals from his magic gourd.
Magna and Lena woke up along with their clones.
After looking around for a while, the four of them noticed Noah.
Noah wasted no time in explaining anything to them, he simply sent two golden orbs directly into their souls.
After merging with the golden orbs, the duo's eyes glowed.
"What an interesting technique..."
Lena said before she began to share said technique with her clone through her psychic link.
Magna also did the same.
Noah opened the other two capsules, out of which came a white wolf with blue eyes and a black snake.
Both Sasrir and the black snake had reached first stage holy rank before they left the Tong Xuan realm.
Noah wasted no time and passed Hellfrost Peacock's secret technique directly to them so that they could start practicing.
Although the two beasts had already developed their wisdom, due to the slave seal, the snake could not disobey Noah's orders and carried them all out loyally.
As for Sasrir...
Just looking at his goofy face one could understand it all.
Despite being supposedly an extremely fierce Warg, his behavior was just like that of a dog.
Although he successfully developed his wisdom, his mentality remained that of a small child who just wanted to play and be lazy.
Although he could make the two beasts enter the beast transformation pond and take on human form, Noah did not do that.
He had his own plans for the black snake and as for Sasrir, he simply didn't want to do that because he liked his current appearance.
A few days later, an extremely cold aura came off the six individuals before they began to writhe on the ground with agony plastered on their faces.
When they recovered, all of them now had altered hearts and stomachs.
Having acquired a trace of the Hellfrost Peacock's lineage, the ones that underwent a change the most were the two beasts.
A few ice blue scales appeared on the head of the black snake, forming a circle on its head.
Sasrir suffered the least change, as his blue eyes turned a lighter color and the white fur on the tip of his tail turned ice blue.
"So what do we do now?"
"For the moment nothing, you two can enter a university and study whatever you want, I'll put your clones and the two beasts back in the magic pumpkin.
For the moment we're not going to do anything special, I plan to focus on finishing this thing."
Noah pointed to a room sized cube from which a bunch of wires, tubes and electronic components protruded.
He stowed the other four in his magic gourd before passing a couple of doppler potions to the duo.
"This world is very interesting, I think you're going to like it.
Now go out and discover it for yourselves.
Ah... Right! Don't forget to change your clothes, your current attire will draw too much attention.
You can go upstairs and pick out your clothes."
Noah dismissed them before going on with his work.
...
The southern region of Blackboard City.
On the outskirts of the city.
Beside a vast river, in a remote spot on the river's edge.
A black-haired young man was kicking stones with every step, walking leisurely along the riverbank.
He did not appear to be more than sixteen years old in appearance. The young man's face was full of helplessness.
He saw that there was no one in his immediate vicinity and could not help but speak.
"Master Red Moon, did you find what you were looking for?"
"Shut up! What's the hurry?" scolded an irritated voice next to his ear.
"But we've been walking for half an hour, how about we go back home? We'll definitely be late again," the young man felt even more helpless now. He looked down at the bakery uniform he was still wearing.
"I heard on the news recently that a lot of thugs are on the loose around here - it would be troublesome if we ran into them!"
"What's there to be afraid of? You've got me close!"Red Moon raged.
"Shut up, I'll strangle you if you make any more noise! Fuck, you made what I had felt a moment ago disappear!"
Clint flinched and immediately fell silent.
A strong wave rose up and crashed against the river bank.
Splash!
Suddenly, large jets of water rose up and completely drenched Clint. He couldn't react in time when it happened. His entire uniform was soaked in an instant, drenching him as well.
"How can I be so unlucky!!!"
"I told you not to scream! Or I'll beat you up!" reprimanded Red Moon harshly.
The young man felt helpless. He could only look left and right. Fortunately, no one had shown up to see that sad sight, otherwise he would have been very embarrassed.
