A week later, one of the doctors met with instructor Hamm as he jumped up and down and exclaimed.
"This is unimaginable! Extraordinary! It's a miracle!"
A vein bulged in Hamm's forehead as he grabbed the doctor by the head and forced him to stop jumping.
"Explain to me what's going on."
"Ahem! Yes, a few days ago we discovered that young Nonosiba's body was starting to heal itself magically.
Just today he just recovered completely and his nerves were fully restored.
The only problem is that his willpower level temporarily dropped from level 1 to the basic medium level but he will surely recover after a while."
"That's impossible..."
"Not only that! When we questioned him he said that on the night of the first day a dark silhouette entered his room and forced him to eat some kind of strange pill before disappearing! After multiple medical checks, we did not discover any abnormalities in his body.
Unfortunately we were also unable to retrieve any samples of that miraculous pill to try to study it."
Hamm released the doctor before entering Nonosiva's room.
The most exceptional students he had taught over the past few years were Fervale and Nonosiva, who ranked first and third in the class respectively. So he cared deeply about them.
Now, one of his best students who had a chance to become a real Mechs pilot in the future was about to lose his life due to lack of funds to pay for his operation. This made him extremely uncomfortable.
Such a misfortune reminded him of his own bitter experiences in the past. No one had been there to support him during that time, and he could only control his life with his own strength. Fortunately, in the end he was able to control his destiny. However, his willpower had diminished by more than half of its initial value due to his severe injuries. Finally, he could only retire as a regular instructor at the academy.
Now that he learned that Nonosiva had been magically healed and especially when he saw him standing upright and completely healthy, Hamm felt a great relief.
"We need to talk boy."
The next day, Garen was released from the hospital and returned to Blackboard Academy.
...
One week later.
At night, a group of ten shadows infiltrated a secret base inside the city and stole an item from a safe.
A patrol group was immediately alarmed and began a long chase but the group of shadows was very skilled and quickly escaped, leaving the city and entering an abandoned factory.
The shadows argued with each other for a while and were about to leave when suddenly, a swarm of black insects invaded the place and started attacking them.
The group of shadows tried to defend themselves but to no avail. Their attacks had no effect on the insects.
The soul-eating insects infiltrated the spiritual seas of nine of the ten individuals and quickly devoured their souls.
The leader of the group watched as all the members of his team collapsed to the ground one by one but did not panic and instead began to think of a way to escape from this place.
Suddenly, a palm landed on his head out of nowhere and extracted his soul from his body.
Noah used his spiritual eye of annihilation to annihilate the man's soul before devouring it.
"Genes, willpower, Mechs..."
A wealth of knowledge about the various powers of this world entered his mind.
Noah stuffed the man inside a cryogenic capsule and rubbed his chin.
"I should look for a lab..."
Taking advantage of the fact that it was still dark, he sneaked around the various parts of the city secretly while looking for some house with a private laboratory.
Half an hour later, he arrived at the house of one of the most famous doctors in the city and infiltrated his room before using a slave seal on him.
"Master!"
"Get up. I want you to disable all the surveillance cameras. Then take me to your lab."
The man obeyed and five minutes later, the man led Noah to his main lab.
Noah turned on a full body scanner connected to a computer in one corner of the lab and put the person he captured earlier inside.
"Artificial intelligence, scan his body and map his nervous system."
"Beep! Scanning..... Scanning..."
Five minutes later, a hologram of the man's body with his nervous system in view appeared on the screen.
Sighing, Noah got up and shut down the computer.
"I guess it's time to get back to studying."
Making up his mind, he devised a plan for the next day.
Noah sat cross-legged and began to meditate as he comprehended the various theories of willpower.
According to the hooded man's recollections, willpower was the result of training and cultivating the instinctual awareness that resides within one's body.
The bodies of the people of this world were special in that just as in the brain, there were neurons scattered throughout their organs.
The key to training willpower was to stimulate these neurons to make the whole body work as a brain, awakening that instinctive awareness within their bodies and creating willpower.
If Noah wanted to learn to use this power system, he had to undergo surgery that would fundamentally change his body. The problem was that he first had to recreate the nervous system of the inhabitants of this world before merging it with his vein and meridian system.
After that he had to find a method for his body to generate those neurons needed to generate willpower.
Noah was patient and in no hurry. He could take things slowly and take one step at a time.
The next day, he left the city of Blackboard and headed to a nearby city before kidnapping two college freshmen from the technology and medical school respectively.
Using the doppler potion, he copied the appearance and memories of the young man from the medical faculty before creating a clone that possessed the body of the young man from the technology faculty.
A couple of hours later, Noah and his clone formally began their studies at the university.
In the meantime, Garen began to train his willpower.
Six months quickly passed.
During this time, Noah and his clone absorbed all the theoretical knowledge of the two faculties in secret while appearing to be normal students on the surface.
On this particular day, Noah and his clone were reunited before they merged again.
"It's about time."
Noah's eyes narrowed as he looked out at the horizon.
Feeling the tracking mark he left on Garen's brother, he opened a spatial rip and appeared outside a cute pink-themed coffee shop.
Waiting until nightfall, when the store closed and the employees of the place left for their homes, including Garen's brother, whom Noah no longer paid attention to since he had already brought him to the place he was looking for.
A couple of hours later, right at midnight, Noah had his energy explode as he activated his amalgam incarnation and his demonic transformation, turning into a purple fire humanoid with black flames dancing on his body.
With a blink, the humanoid appeared over a young man's bed before isolating the room with a spell.
The sleeping young man suddenly awoke to feel the searing heat and extreme cold assaulting his body at the same time.
Staring at the being that looked like a demon out of the depths of hell, the young man of about fifteen began to shiver.
Clutching a small orb in his pocket, the young man squeezed it tightly, as if looking for it to give him the strength to resist.
Noah stared at the young man's pocket with his two flaming eyes.
"Red Moon, do you plan to hide in there forever or do you want me to force you out?"
A booming voice came out of Noah's mouth, piercing straight into the red orb inside the young man's palm.
"Who... Who are you?" A voice that was both female and male came from the orb.
"Oh! It seems you're actually willing to engage in dialogue now."
Noah withdrew his suffocating aura but did not deactivate his transformations, allowing the young man to breathe.
"Now that you're willing to talk, let's make a deal."
"What kind of deal?"
Red Moon asked cautiously.
"Simple! You give me all your Mech and willpower knowledge and I don't erase you from existence."
...
Red Moon was silent for a while, debating whether to follow his stubborn nature or give in this time.
"Haha! Just kidding! In return I'll help you once!"
Noah pulled out a blue bead and handed it to the young man who looked beside himself.
"If you break this bead, regardless of where you are, I will appear to help you in a second. It doesn't matter who the enemy is. As long as my life is not threatened, I will help you at all costs."
Red Moon hesitated for a few seconds before finally giving in.
Even though the fire being in front of him said he was only joking, how could he not know that he meant it? Besides the promise that he would help them could save their lives if they found themselves at a dead end.
Red Moon could feel the monstrously strong aura coming from the being in front of her.
What intrigued her most was that she felt no aura of willpower emanating from its body. All she could feel was an extremely fierce energy that was both hot and cold.
Noah nodded with satisfaction and pulled out a memory crystal.
The young man followed Noah's instructions and brought the memory crystal close to the red orb before the latter began to release fluctuations of willpower that entered the memory crystal before transforming into blocks of information.
Half an hour later, Red Moon recorded all his knowledge of Mechs and willpower before shutting down, entering a deep sleep.
"Don't worry, he's only slightly depleted.
He'll wake up in a few days."
Noah comforted the young man before putting the memory crystal away and disappearing from the scene.
Although he could take Red Moon with him now that he was extremely weak and his carrier was a young man who hadn't even begun to train his willpower, doing so would be counterproductive to his plans plus the young man had already become this world's child of destiny.
Teleporting to the city of Blackboard, Noah began to secretly spy on Garen and waited as the days passed until one day, Garen met with a bearded man.
After transferring a large sum of money to the bearded man, Garen grabbed the bag full of strange stones that the bearded man was carrying and turned to leave.
A few minutes later, as the man was leaving on his way back home, suddenly, Noah appeared in front of him and before he could react, he placed his hand on his head and implanted a slave seal.
"You must continue your dealings with Garen as you have been doing for now but separately, I want you to gather white rainbow stones for me."
"Understood."
The bearded man got up and walked away leaving Noah alone in the alley.
What he called out as white rainbow stone was actually a stone that was used to refine the combistible needed for the Mechs, even though that wasn't what Noah cared about. What really interested him was that these stones had a trace of the blood aura of the Hellfrost Peacock, a very powerful void beast of this multiverse.
Said stone was needed to practice one of the techniques he obtained from Garen, the book of the Hellfrost Peacock.
Although Noah had no interest in developing a soul seed, what interested him was that this technique modified one's body to give him the lineage of the hellfrost peacock, granting him some abilities that he found very interesting.
During the following months, he dedicated himself to enslave some of the students of Blackboard academy who had great backgrounds and made them buy some materials for him at the same time he started to practice the secret technique of the Hellfrost Peacock.
