Chapter 74 - Chapter 74:Demon Lord

Three days later, the group arrived in the city of the burning flame.

Noah stayed at an inn while waiting for the next big event to occur.

Several days later, a strong aura approached from the horizon.

Noah sealed his own cultivation to the ninth stage of immortal ascension and waited.

A three meter humanoid creature hovering on a nuve while carrying a coffin on its back passed by before landing on a nearby spot.

Noah activated his wings and flew to the spot before anyone else, stopping in front of the creature.

"Hehehe, looks like I found another cultivator with a conflagrated spirit sea."

The creature's eyes flashed before it opened the coffin and sucked Noah inside.

On the other hand, Noah did not resist as this was his target in the first place.

Appearing in a prison cell, he sat cross-legged and waited for them to come for him.

A few minutes later, two gray-skinned demons led him to a throne room where a crowd of demons were gathered around a throne on which sat a beautiful pink-haired woman with a stern looking woman standing next to her.

"Human, tell me your name."

Noah looked directly at the woman before saying his made up name.

"Chu Feng, my name is Chu Feng."

"Very well Chu Feng, show me the full power of your divine sense."

Noah simply displayed half of his divine sense but that alone caused a stir among the demons.

"Silence!

Good! Good! You're just what we need."

As the woman sitting on the throne smiled, suddenly a feral looking demon approached the scene before looking Noah up and down and noticing his faint aura of the ninth stage of immortal ascension, disdain appeared on his face.

"This is the human that the coffin elder's slave captured?

He looks weaker than the previous one.

What good is a waste like him to us?"

An elder among the demons shouted at the man as he became furious at his disrespectful attitude in the throne room.

"Chu Jian, show some respect!"

The man did not even deign to look at the elder shouting at him and instead greeted the woman on the throne.

"Greetings, elder Li.

I just heard that the coffin elder's slave sent someone else, so I decided to take a trip here to assess his worthiness but now that I've seen him, I must say I'm very disappointed."

The woman looked at him indifferently before simply saying.

"Shut up and have a seat."

The man became even more unrestrained and looked at everyone before saying.

"It's better if we kill him directly, that way we can avoid giving our people false hope for the next ten years and wasting so many precious resources!"

"Chu Jian, have you forgotten the rules set by our ancestors?!"

"I am only speaking the truth! The fate of our clan must not be handed over to an unknown brat of human race.

Even without borrowing the help of an outsider, I will lead our clan and free myself from this cage.

Elder Li, what do you say?"

The woman simply shook her head.

"I am encouraged to hear that Lord Chu Jian has such strong feelings for our clan, that he is truly a blessing to our people.

I look forward to the day when Lord Chu Jian can achieve that result and fulfill our ancestor's longed-for wish."

Chu Jian became furious but restrained himself from exploding on the spot.

Turning to Noah, he shot him a dirty look before blurting out a threat.

"You human race brat better watch out, you're not in the outside world anymore."

Noah simply ignored this clown as he was already dead meat in his eyes.

"Guan'er, take him to rest."

"Yes."

The woman beside the throne approached Noah and said in a cold voice.

"Follow me."

Noah simply nodded and left with her.

"Elder Li, Chu Jian's attitude is becoming more and more unbridled."

"Mistress, the more benevolent you are to him, the more arrogant Chu Jian will become, we should teach him a lesson now so he knows his place."

The woman on the throne sighed before saying.

"I will take your advice into consideration.

Both of you go back for now. After I have thought it through, I will send someone to notify you."

"Yes!"

The other elders left, leaving elder Li lost in thought.

The woman guiding Noah led him to a pocket space where a green meadow with a large number of shelves stood in its center.

"From now on, this place will be your residence.

You don't need to worry about anything for now. We will prepare everything you need.

Although no one will monitor your movements, don't even think about trying to escape, there is nowhere for you to flee, this place is a sealed space, there is no way out."

Noah simply nodded at the woman's explanation before grabbing one of the books from the shelves and starting to read.

"Okay, see you tomorrow."

The woman stormed off as she watched Viltz continue to ignore her.

Despite telling Noah that no one would monitor her actions, the woman hid behind a bookshelf and kept an eye on what she was doing.

"This human...it's strange.

Instead of being locked up, why do I get the feeling he's in this place of his own free will?"

A portal opened behind her through which elder Li stepped out.

Noah turned to look her in the eyes and smiled at her before saying.

"Hey! Li Rong! Come closer for a moment."

"You! You dare to speak so rudely to the lady? Wait how do you know her name!?"

Li Rong frowned and came closer, curious as to how Noah knew her name.

Noah said nothing, simply breaking the seals that repressed his cultivation, unleashing his second rank transcendent aura along with all the power of his divine sense.

"You! You've been hiding your strength."

Although Noah's strength was nothing in the eyes of Li Rong, who was already at the saint rank, he was still surprised by the fact that he could hide his strength from her.

Looking around her carefully, Li Rong realized that she was in a vast spiritual sea.

Noah appeared beside her in soul form before guiding her to the soul-warming lotus island.

"I want you to pay attention to the aura of that eye."

Noah pointed her to the closed demonic eye of annihilation before opening it, causing it to unleash an aura of destruction.

Before the eye could act on Li Rong's soul, Noah closed it and expelled her from his sea of consciousness.

"You bastard! What have you done to the lady."

The young woman in charge of guarding him was about to attack when Li Rong opened her eyes and stopped her.

"You're wondering why I showed you something like that right? I want you to look into the records of your race and you will find the answer to your questions.

You can come find me tomorrow."

Li Rong just nodded, still confused by the aura in that eye.

She had to go look in the records left behind by her ancestors to be sure of her congeture.

"Ah yes, I almost forgot. Tomorrow you can bring with you the conflagrated spiritual seas left by the previous alchemists, if I absorb them they should help me in my understanding in alchemy.

Then I will be able to create the pill you want faster."

"Sigh, as you wish."

Li Rong disappeared from the scene, leaving Noah and the young woman alone.

Viltz ate an apple while reading an alchemy book as the young woman looked at him curiously.

The next day, Li Rong called him to the throne room where the highest powers of the demon race were gathered.

Although Li Rong wanted to directly hand over the conflagrated spirit seas to him, some of the elders vehemently objected, which led to this meeting.

Noah sensed a malicious intent coming from one part of the demons.

Turning to that group, Noah gave them a toothy grin before turning to Li Rong.

"Let me guess, those fools are the ones who objected to you handing over the spirit seas to me?"

Li Rong said nothing, just nodded.

"How dare you insult us! Insignificant human insect!"

"Hahahaha! Noah burst out laughing as a monstrous demonic aura far purer than any of the demons present burst out from his body.

Black marks appeared around his eyes and hands as his demonic aura exploded to the limit, causing a feeling of fear to invade the hearts of each of the demons present as their auras were heavily suppressed.

Noah drew his swords wreathed in celestial lightning and addressed the demons with a feral grin on his face.

"What... What do you plan to do?"

Chu Jian continuously retreated as he felt his power being suppressed without giving him the power to defend himself.

Noah appeared before Chu Jian and beheaded him directly before absorbing his soul.

He then did the same to his three followers of the first order of the holy rank.

Finishing with those pesky insects, he approached the throne in the center of the hall.

Li Rong rose from the throne and stood to his right.

Sitting on the high throne, Noah looked at the remaining demons.

Li Rong knelt down and shouted.

"Hail to the demon lord!"

"Hail the demon lord!"

Noah nodded before speaking.

"Everything will continue as before.

Li Rong and the elders will continue to manage the clan. I will enter a closed-door cultivation.

Li Rong."

"Yes master!"

"Bring all the records about the demonic transformation to my cultivation room later."

Noah said nothing more and teleported to the entrance of the pocket space before entering.

"He... He just opened a space portal?"

"It seems that the demon god's new successor is someone very formidable."

"Right, mastering a skill like that with his cultivation level..."

A few hours later, Li Rong entered the pocket space with a stack of books.

"You can put them aside."

"Yes."

Li Rong put the books away in a corner and waited for Noah's next orders.

Five minutes later, Noah finished reading the book in his hand and turned to Li Rong.

"I had originally planned to start studying the demonic transformation technique but I think I can save that for later."

With a mischievous smile on her face, she took out a bed from her magic gourd and looked straight at Li Rong, who blushed knowing what was coming next but didn't resist but directly took off her dress.

Five days later, an exhausted Li Rong put on her clothes and left Noah alone in the pocket space.

The demonic transformation technique was a very profound technique and Noah had only been able to use the first form instinctively.

He read all the books in less than an hour before he began to cultivate the technique.

Five days later, his aura shot up as a pattern of black flames covered his entire body.

"So fast!?"

Li Rong, who was behind him, was amazed at the speed with which he managed to reach the second stage.

According to his calculations, it would have taken him half a month at least.

"I guess I can't underestimate the one chosen by the demon god."
