Chapter 66 - Chaoter 66: Heavenly Devourer

Upon entering the interior of the castle, two orbs caught Noah's attention, one golden and one dark blue.

Wasting no time, he pulled out the two cryogenic capsules containing his two slaves and released them, letting them approach the orbs.

The male slave sat in front of the golden orb while the female slave sat in front of the blue orb.

They both activated their cultivation techniques simultaneously, which were a yin and yang attribute cultivation technique respectively.

A golden dragon emerged from the golden orb and plunged into the man's body while an ice phoenix plunged into the woman's body.

Their bodies began to overflow with energy but they quickly joined hands and began to exchange their energies with each other through dual cultivation.

On the golden stairs, a burst of yin qi expelled all the women who were climbing up.

Su yan, who was on the 6000th step, stood in confusion as she stared at the stairs, feeling as if she had missed the opportunity of a lifetime.

Half an hour later, the two clones put on their clothes and went back into their respective cryogenic chambers.

Noah opened a portal and returned to his cave, from there he began a new journey to a faraway place.

Two months later, he arrived at a port where a large group of men dressed in rags were gathered.

Noah transformed himself into a fly and stepped into the clothes of one of these men and waited.

A man dressed in black was urging people to hurry onto the ship.

Several days later, the ship landed on an island.

The island of the crimson cloud was an island full of natural resources but plagued by demonic energy that slowly corroded anyone who wandered onto it.

That is why the crimson cloud sect, who discovered and gave this island its name, used needy people like these as free and disposable labor to collect the natural resources scattered around the island.

Noah remained glued to the scrawny man until he moved deeper into the island's forest.

Moving away from the man, Noah returned to his real form before unfolding his perception and beginning to sense the various medicinal plants in the surrounding area.

After sensing a medicinal herb, he would collect it and store it in his magical gourd.

By the next day, he had plundered all the medicinal plants and fruits from that part of the island, leaving him with only the central mountain from which all the demonic energy originated.

Arriving at the top of the mountain, Noah found a barren scene without a hint of vegetation.

The ground was a blood red color and in the center of the mountain, a small pool filled with blood essence gave off a strong sinister aura.

Noah sat in front of the pool of blood and began to absorb it.

Half a month later, he opened his eyes.

During this half month, he used his golden skeleton to constantly refine the blood essence into qi until he suddenly went from the second to the ninth stage of qi transformation.

"So much blood essence from an expert and I still couldn't break through the limits, looks like I need even more resources."

Getting up, he called out to the demonic spirit that had fallen asleep from boredom and ordered it to be attentive.

Lifting the rock on which the pool of blood had previously stood, a corpse filled with demonic energy was revealed to view.

Noah touched the forehead of the corpse, causing a spirit to emerge from within and attempt to possess it but the golden skeleton took it upon itself to purge it, turning it into energy for growth.

Noah beckoned the demonic spirit to debug the demonic energy left in the corpse.

"I really can?"

"Yeah, get it over with."

"Haha! As you command master!"

The demonic spirit pounced on the demonic energy and began to feast.

Three days later, the demonic spirit completely devoured the demonic energy and Noah returned it to the interior of the soul piercing punch.

Returning to the vicinity of the ship, it transformed back into a fly before crawling into the clothing of one of the guards responsible for guarding the ship.

A couple of days later, the ship gathered the workers who completed their missions and abandoned those who did not before returning to the port city.

A couple of days later, a large ship arrived at the port and began recruiting workers.

Noah entered the ship thanks to the guard he was hiding in and began looking for his next transport mule.

In the night, he noticed a young man with a clueless face and a smile formed on his fly face.

Changing his form to that of a mosquito, he came close to the young man's ear before entering it and transforming back into it, taking the form of a tiny spider, nesting in the young man's ear while reducing his vital signs and energy signatures to a minimum.

With this level of camouflage, his energy signatures would be camouflaged by the young man's own energy signatures so that even those experts aboard the ship would find it impossible to detect him.

The young man went to talk to a girl but she kept trying to ignore him until the boat shook and the girl lost her balance. The young man tried to grab her but only succeeded in pushing her further, causing her to fall to the ground and her head went into a bucket full of water.

"Sis, are you okay?"

"Fuck you! You're the one who made me fall!"

The young woman pulled out a handkerchief and wiped her face before storming away.

A couple of hours later, they arrived in front of an island surrounded by a magical barrier.

"We have arrived! We've finally arrived!"

A couple of minutes later, the elders aboard the ship took out a turtle shell with a map carved on its surface and began to imbue it with their qi.

"That's not enough. Quickly come and pour in your qi as well!"

The other cultivators on the ship gathered around the shell and began pouring their qi into it as well.

The shell released a beam of light that struck the protective barrier, causing it to dissipate.

As they began to feast, giant tentacles suddenly burst out of the water one after another, lashing the boat and sending those who failed to grab onto something in time flying.

One of the tentacles wrapped itself around one of the elders and before he could react, crushed him to a pulp.

The young man Noah was hiding in flew off and luckily made it to shore, meeting up with two other survivors before encountering the young woman he was trying to conquer earlier.

He tried to engage her in conversation but she cut him off, preventing him from speaking further before moving on.

The group of four went deeper into the island until they reached an area surrounded by fog.

One of the young men stepped into the fog out of curiosity but his body began to corrode in a matter of seconds.

"Shit! It's poisonous!"

The other three quickly backed away as they watched their companion fall to the ground with foam coming out of his mouth.

Still not overcoming the panic caused by the fog, the trio had to face a swarm of huge insects that appeared out of nowhere.

Although they tried to resist, in the end they were overwhelmed by the sheer number of insects and ended up captured and transferred to their nest.

Once inside the nest, the young man's head exploded and Noah materialized on his inherte body.

The two remaining young women looked at him with terror on their faces but before they could do or say anything, the soul piercing punch flew out of Noah's sleeve and the demonic spirit manipulated it to pierce both young women's foreheads, destroying their souls.

A spider-like insect looked at the commotion with confusion before approaching Noah, who followed it to the queen's nest.

Once inside the nest, the guard insect left the place, leaving Noah alone with the queen.

Wasting no time, Noah drew his staff and activated his protective barrier before conjuring a large number of containment spells.

A small golden insect came shooting out, colliding with the protective barrier.

The confining chains shot at the insect but it dodged them and charged the barrier again.

Noah cast a shock spell, which ran through the barrier.

This time, when it touched the barrier, the insect received an electric shock that left it numb for a second.

A second that Noah took advantage of, causing the confining chains to trap the little insect.

"Demon spirit, I want you to pierce its soul with your awl."

"It will be my pleasure." The demonic spirit smiled sinisterly before thrusting its soul piercing awl into the insect's skull.

Noah deactivated the magical barrier before grabbing the golden insect and throwing it directly into its mouth as he circulated his secret art of pure yang, refining the insect's remains.

A stream of information entered Noah's mind, informing him that he had gained two special abilities.

The first was the insect queen's wings, which granted her the ability to fly at great speed.

The second and most important was Heavenly Devourer, which granted him the ability to devour any type of energy and transform it into qi for cultivation.

"Not bad, one more ability than Yang Kai got.

I wonder why that is? For directly swallowing the insect queen?"

Giving up thinking about it, Noah summoned his new wings and showed himself to the insect guards, causing them to prostrate themselves before him, mistaking him for their queen, thinking she had taken possession of his body.
