I guess there is currently no way for me to get wood. I can look for a fallen tree; my luck has been good this far (if an encounter with Big G is any indication).
There aren't any signs of wild animals, so I guess it's pretty safe around here. And so, I began to search for a fallen tree. I am currently in a forest, so there shouldn't be trouble finding one, and luckily, I even found one.
It's a big tree, and I guess it's been fallen for quite a while, you know, like the trees we see lying around in the forest. However, I was unsure whether or not it could be used as the material, as the wood was not processed. So, I decided to do the most obvious thing in the world: ask the system.
"Hey system, can I use it as a material?"
[Anything can be used as the material as long as it's not a living creature.]
"What about a dead creature?"
[Yes, it can be used as long as it's not living.]
So, I cannot use the system to get rid of the monsters that attack me; it would be too easy if that were the case.
Think about it, as soon as anything gets close, just simply turn into a material. But there was still one more question that was bugging me.
"System, there is no way this entire tree would be used to create one sword, so what will happen to the remaining portion?"
[The tree will be only partially consumed, and the rest will be saved in your inventory.]
"Inventory? Eh... I didn't know I had one."
I clearly remember Big G didn't mention anything about me having an inventory.
[This inventory can only be used to store extra material of creation, and personal belongings cannot be stored in it.]
So that's how it is. It makes sense, but there was still one question in my head.
"Can I retrieve items from this inventory?"
[No, these items can only be used to craft items.[
"So, only remaining material goes in, or can I also store things in advance?"
[Host can store the material, but once the materials are stored, they cannot be retrieved.]
"I see. So what's the maximum capacity?"
[The inventory has 100 spots, and if the host wants to add more items, some previous items will need to be removed.]
"What will happen to the removed items then?"
[They will perish into nothingness.]
I see, that's how it is. I have to be careful not to store any items that come in handy from time to time.
And now it's finally time to create the sword. First, how to retrieve the wood.
"System, how can I store the tree in the inventory?"
[Just keep your hand on the tree and say 'Store in inventory'.]
That's easy enough. So, I did as I was told. I kept my left hand on the tree and spoke.
"Store it in the inventory."
The tree started to glow a little and suddenly disappeared. Let's check the inventory now.
"System, open inventory."
A blue screen sprung open before me, and it was filled with boxes. In one of the boxes, there was an image of the tree, and it was written "oak tree."
"So, it was an oak tree, huh?"
Now it's time for the sword. I opened the System Crafting page and selected the Reinforced Wooden Sword, and it cost me only five mana points.
I was wondering how it would appear. Will it fall from the sky or appear with its handle coming out of the system's screen? I was really looking forward to it.
As I was thinking, the sword appeared in my right hand with a glow of light. I guess it's pretty neat too. In fact, it's cool, actually.

Now that I have got myself a weapon, maybe I should hunt to get some food. Normally, the monsters should be around, but now I can only see trees. Let's try going deeper. I have got decent strength, so it should be fine. And so, I began my march deeper into the woods.
After walking for around 5 minutes, I began to hear some sounds. I guess it's water. I think my hearing has improved too.
I know water is very important in any expedition, and I was feeling a little thirsty. So, I began to run towards the direction of the voice.
After running for about 5 minutes, I reached the river. The water of the river is very clear, and I can even see the stones that are at the bottom.
I scooped up some water and started to drink. Then, a thought suddenly crossed my mind. Can I make a sword made of stone?
