A nod and then a look up, Victoria's gaze swept over the necklace around Nancy's neck and her breath caught.
"You ... this necklace?"
Victoria was a little incoherent, with a startled look on her face.
"It was left to me by my mum."
Nancy patiently explained, as Mrs Victoria sized her up.
This lady ... really just gave her a very special feeling.
It was as if there was really some kind of connection between them.
This was clearly the first time they had met.
"Can you show me the necklace?"
Mrs Victoria's tone went from demure a moment ago to urgent.
"Of course you can."
Nancy graciously took off the necklace and handed it to her to show her.
Victoria stared intently at the flower in the centre for a long time.
"You said your mother left this to you, which lady was your mother?"
