September 1st, 2222. A week and a half after Silas came back to Omnia from his vacation in Japan, Silas and his team consisting of himself plus Dana and Carl had been asked to remove a rogue Hunter group in Seeira again. This was slowly becoming a more and more common issue and every single rogue group they had arrested were all much too terrified to talk. Getting any information from them seemed like a fruitless adventure, but they had to keep trying regardless. It was their job, after all. With each new outburst from a new rogue Hunter group, the attacks got closer and closer to Omnia and Silas was starting to worry that some other forces other than previously suspected were operating this behind the scenes. Just as the fighting stopped with this small group, a new fight started out. It was getting late, and the sun has gone down. However, just as Silas, Dana and Carl got ready for another fight, a squad of FBI SWAT showed up. "Ugh, not these guys." Dana complains. "Back for more already? They want to kick off another war with Omnia already?"
An intimidating looking SWAT member stepped forward towards Silas' group. They were about 6' tall, desert camo with heavy combat vest with the letters SWAT in white on the front and several gadgets on their vest such as a radio, a rectangular gadget that looked like some sort of weird phone and wooden card with charms carved on them. They were wrapped from head to toe in desert camo, with a heavy looking helmet and four-eyed night vision goggles mounted from the helmet and covering their face, with a desert camo shemagh covering their mouth and chin. When they spoke, Silas was surprised to find it was a girl. "You three, I'm going to have to ask you to leave the area. This is now under my jurisdiction."
"Who the hell are you?" Carl scoffs. "We have orders to extract this group we've hog tied and settle this outbreak in violence in the area."
"And you did, job well done." She replies. "Now, if you'll leave so I can do my job, that would be fantastic."
"Do you know who we are?" Carl asks.
The woman folds back her goggles and takes off her helmet, then loosens her shemagh to speak louder. "Oh, I know all about you, she says." She had black hair that was tied up, dark skin and green eyes. "I know you're the son of the infamous Siran, and the rest of you honorable mentions are also the unfortunate offspring of those unruly former outlaws. I don't want to hear your sob story. I want you to beat it. I have orders too. Just take an early day or something. I don't care."
"Lady, you got a whole lotta nerve!" Carl scoffs as he stomps forward.
"Whoa there, tiger!" Dana says as she grabs him by the collar of his vest and holds him back.
Dana stares menacingly into the woman's eyes, trying not to say something mean as Silas asks "It feels unfair to be the only one known, so do you mind telling us who you are? You must be worth remembering if you're commanding your own squad of SWAT soldiers."
The woman thinks with her arms crossed and an annoyed look on her face. Eventually, she says "The name's Jade Haskell. Omnia is your territory, not Seeira. That means you're not the only ones affected by issues in Seeira. We have our own personal interests in this matter as well, and that's as much as you need to know. Now if introductions are all finished, kindly piss off. Believe it or not, we're not thrilled to see Omnia snooping around once again."
"S-snooping ar-!" Dana scoffs and chokes from anger. "Girl, I'll send you straight back to God!"
"Hold!" Silas says to stop Dana while making eye contact with Jade who remained unflinching. "We aren't here to start unnecessary conflict. We're taking this group and leaving, squad."
"Smart man..." Jade scoffs.
"Urgh! That girl pisses me off!" Dana says as they walk away.
"You seriously just gonna let her talk to you like that?" Carl asks.
"What do you want me to do about it?" Silas asks. "Stand there all night and argue or start a fight over mere words?"
"Well... yes!" Carl says.
"Be realistic." Silas replies. "We're professionals. We can't risk conflict because some lady with a smart mouth gave us a mean stare..."
Dana sighs, then says "I know you're right, but I still want to stick my foot right up her ass!"
"I understand..." Silas replies. "I'm going to blow off some steam... do you two mind taking these Hunters back on the rendezvous helicopter for me and heading back ahead of me? I wanna check the spot my house used to be."
"You miss living in Seeira that much?" Carl asks.
"I don't miss Seeira at all, actually." Silas replies. "Just... got things on my mind."
Dana and Carl look at each other and then shrug. "Sure." Carl says. "Just... come back safely, Silas. We're here for you too if you need anything."
"Thanks." Silas replies as he starts walking away.
After a long time of sitting in silence in the area his home used to be, a man walked up to him and sat at the bench on the roadside next to Silas. "You sure look lost in thought..." the man says. "Did that Hunter outbreak kill someone you know or something?"
"No, nothing like that..." Silas replies as he looks at the man next to him. The man next to him looked pretty normal. He was about 6' tall and had brown short wavy hair and brown eyes. "Just... missed how life used to be... before losing a home, a friend... watching the world split apart, essentially."
"I know the feeling." The man replies. "I'm actually from America... that thing is pretty common where I'm from..."
"Really?" Silas asks, in shock. "I mean, it makes sense you're American. I can tell you have a pretty high capacity for endo. But I didn't think that sorta thing was common there."
"You can tell I have a high capacity for endo?" The man asks with a confused smile. As he turns to look at Silas, he notices Silas has two colored eyes. One was black and barely visible, even under the street light above them. The other was white and nearly glowed in the dark. "Geez, that spooked me for a second there. That eye is... haunting..."
"Oh! Sorry!" Silas says, looking away. "I didn't mean to-"
"No! I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that!" The man replies. "Are you by any chance that..."
"Son of Siran, that's me." Silas replies with a sigh. "Silas Mahina... something I can not escape."
"Sounds tough..." The man replies. "I'm sorry to hear about that. I know it probably garners more than just negative attention. There's a lot of people who think Siran was some sort of villain, but... I mean, I've read his book. I think... I can kinda understand some of his pain."
"You've read his book?" Silas asks in surprise.
"Cover to cover." The man replies. "But, aside from that, you yourself seem like a really polite and gentle man. Why are people so... terrified of you?"
"Oh God, they're terrified of me!?" Silas panics.
The man starts suddenly laughing. "Man! I like you!"
"Well, that's definitely a relief!" Silas replies. "I certainly don't hear that often."
"I think we're both due for more friends, don't you?" The man asks. "I've been alone for many years now. Not a whole lot going on when you leave your home after it burns down..."
"I'm sorry to hear that..." Silas says, then pauses. "I know I've already said my name, but I'd like to formerly introduce myself. I think friends would always be a good thing to have more of. My name is Silas Mahina. What's yours?"
The man reaches out to shake Silas' hand as he says "Mathias. Mathias Rudiger. Nice to meet you."
