The sun rays that penetrated through the silk curtains, were shining on Ashley's skin. She was still covered under the fragrant duvet. The smooth touch of the sheets woke her up. She didn't understand where she was, so she quickly sat on the bed, she traced the room with her eyes, but had no recognition of it. She uncovered herself and saw she still had the same outfit, which made her relieved. She got out of the bed, and found her shoes placed aside and her phone at the table near the lamp, and it was fully charged.
She heard a man with a deep voice at the balcony, having a conversation on the phone. [It has to be Mr. Whitecross]she thought to herself.
"So did you find them? " Anderson asked.
"Yeah boss, we have all three of them, " Answered a guy in the other line.
"Okay just keep them, I am on my way, " He instructed.
"Can we torture them before you arrive sir? " He asked.
But before he could answer that, Ashley appeared behind him and distracted him.
"Mr. Whitecross what is it? " She asked.
Anderson turned to look at her. "No don't, " He answered then ended the call.
"Hey Ash you're awake, " He state then walked to her and gestured for her to sit on the sofa, as he joined her to.
"I didn't mean to eaves drop to your conversation Mr. Whitecross, but I heard you asking if they found them... May I know who? " She asked looking into his eyes.
He just sighed, then looked back into her umber irises. "The guys that tried to take advantage of you last night got caught, " He told her.
"What! How and where are they? " She quickly asked.
"It does not matter how they were discovered, but right now they are held at the police station, where I am headed now, " He explained.
"Are they gonna get jailed, Mr. Whitecross? " She asked.
"Probably, that's why I am headed there to make sure of it," He said.
"You know if I didn't arrive sooner, God only knows what they would have done to you Ash, " He state then held her shoulder.
"That's why I appreciate it Mr. Whitecross, " She said then smiled at him.
They stared at each other for a while, then Ashley took notice of Anderson's phone.
"Wait, is that the new Apple iPhone 14 pro max, with 5G! " She exclaimed pointing to the phone on the table.
"Yeah the latest... Would you like to hold it? " He asked.
She just nodded excitedly, then took it from his hold.
"It's nothing compared to my old fashioned iPhone, " She said still looking at it.
"Doesn't it cost like three hundred thousand and something dollars? " She asked.
"Three hundred and thirty, actually, " He corrected.
He really liked seeing her so excited like a child who just received a popsicle from her dad. She then gave it back, then stood.
"I have to go Mr. Whitecross, " She state.
He also stood and that's when she saw he was really tall, [he must be six feet tall] she thought to herself.
"Alright, " He said then picked his coat from the sofa and put it on. She watched how his muscles fit perfectly under the nevy blue coat, she then shook her head and headed back into the room.
"But don't leave yet, I had ordered breakfast for you, " He told her.
[What! Breakfast! ]
"Um you didn't have to Mr. Whitecross, " She state.
"It's okay, it's not a bother, " He told her smiling.
"Oh I have something, " He state, then put his hand into his pocket, then held out three hundred dollars. "I don't usually carry cash around, but take this and board a taxi, " He state.
Ashley hesitated, Anderson moved close then took her hand and placed the cash into her hand.
"You'll need it, " He said. Anderson turned towards the door. Ashley watched his straight back as he disappeared out of the room. She then stared back at the cash, sighed then putbit in her pockets.

Anderson entered inside a dark room, which had a dim bulb at the middle. Then one of his men helped him to remove his coat. He then stared at the three men who had been tied with ropes and had black bags covering their heads. Then one of his men gave him a seat. "Thank you David, " He said then sat, placed his long leg on the other then leaned on the chair. "Remove the bags, " He ordered. The bags were quickly removed.
"Tell me about them David, " Anderson said eyeing each one of the men.
"I did my research, um the one in the white shirt, is the step son of the governor, the one in the black vest is a drug dealer, who just got divorced and the last one is a taxi driver," David explained.
Anderson just had a smirk on his face. [They are all nobody's and yet they try to take advantage of Ashley, they are going to regret it]he told himself.
"Take the two and beat them up, then let them go, I'll deal with this one, " He ordered.
Once he was left with the governor's son, he stood up, then picked a metal rod. Then removed his glasses and gave them to one of his men. He looked even more dangerous without his glasses.
"I am so sorry Mr. Whitecross, I didn't know she was with you, " He begged.
Anderson still had an evil smirk tracing his lips. "It doesn't matter, but you will never try to take advantage of a woman again, " He said his mem held out the man's hand, as Anderson broke his left hand fingers without mercy as the poor man screamed.
"Aaaaah!!!!
