One of the Spellhound said, "They do not have anywhere to go now!!"
"Let's have a feast!!" The Spellhound said as his eyes locked on Eiera's eyes.
The Spellhound placed his index finger's nail on Eiera's barrier. Without much effort, the Spellhound's nail pierced Eiera's barrier like a knife cutting butter. As he pierced Eiera's barrier the barrier shattered like a glass.
Eiera's barrier shattered before the Spellhound could attack Eiera or anyone else. Another Spellhound said, "Let's have a little fun, shall we let them run."
"It's going to be a hunt. Let them run like a rat." Another Spellhound said.
As the Spellhound were talking, Eiera made everyone invisible with her powers. Eiera grabbed Rin's hand and told everyone to follow the Blade. The Scorchers carried their injured friend as they followed the floating Eternal Blade behind Rin. Aiden and Luna also followed the Eternal Blade.
The Spellhounds noticed they already had run away as they were talking, "You can't run forever humans.."
As the Spellhounds said, they transformed into their hound form. But their hound form was different from the last time. Their size had increased by a generous amount. The difference was not only in their size. It also made them stronger, faster, and deadlier than before. They were feeding on everyone's fear.
The Spellhounds started to sniff the wooden floor, seeking where everyone went. The Spellhounds began to follow the scent of the Scorcher's blood and the odor of fear.
Eiera, Rin, Aiden, Luna, and the Scorchers had reached an aisles starting area. They didn't stop to look at the aisles. They just entered a random one. As they entered an aisle, Eiera's spell wore off, and everyone was visible again.
Eiera released Rin's hand from her grip and said to everyone. "We need to think of something quick."
Eiera looked at everyone, but no one had an answer for her. Then, the Scorcher who had lost his arm fell on the floor due to blood loss. The other two Scorchers didn't know what to do, so they put him aside on the aisle. That gives him support to sit.
Eiera looked at Rin and said, "Rin, heal him." She said with an urgency in her voice.
But Rin didn't respond to Eiera. Rin was shaken by what she had just seen. She couldn't digest what was happening to them. Tears started to form in her eyes as she stood still, frozen in place.
Eiera approaches Rin, shakes her body, and says, "Rin, snapped out of it. You are Kai's sister, we need you."
After hearing Eiera's words, Rin came back to her senses and said. "There's nothing we can do to save ourselves." Rin had lost all of her hope.
"Not yet, we haven't lost yet." Eiera continued, "Heal him now."
Rin listened to Eiera and approached the injured Scorcher. She cast a healing spell on him. "HemoFlux!"
As Rin cast her spell, the Scorcher stopped losing blood and started to regain his blood in small amounts.
As Rin was healing the Scorcher, Luna approached Aiden and whispered into his ear. "This is all your fault. He lost his arm cause of you. Rin cried cause of you. It is all your fault you manipulated Eiera. So, you can come in here."
Aiden still didn't accept his mistake. Instead, he approached the Eternal Blade. Aiden grabbed the hilt of the Blade with his left hand as Aiden tried to pull the Eternal Blade from Rin's side. The Blade temperature rose and immediately burned Aiden's hand.
Aiden released the Blade and took a few steps away from it. Then he looked at his hand, "AHHHHHHHH!!" He screamed in pain as he saw his hand was burned by the Eternal Blade.
"What were you thinking!! You are not Kai. The Blade will not give you, its power. " Eiera said.
Aiden said, "But you can, you wield the Blade earlier."
Eiera corrected Aiden, "I can wield the Blade, just not without Kai's permission. Kai has to order the Blade to be Wielded by me." Eiera continued, "We need to move now. The Spellhounds might have heard your scream." Eiera said.
Luna said to Eiera, "There's nowhere to go."
"We need to get to Kai. The Blade will take us to him." As Eiera said, she approached Rin and asked her. "Rin, can you ask the Blade to lead us to Kai? The Blade will listen to you." Eiera's voice was gentle and filled with urgency at the same time.
Rin nodded and said to the Eternal Blade, "Please, lead us to my Brother."
The Eternal Blade responded to Rin by glowing and turned around. The Eternal Blade started to float away in the distance but still glowing, making a path in the darkness for everyone.
"Let's go!" Eiera said.
The Scorcehrs lifted their injured friend and ran after the Eternal Blade, followed by Eiera, Rin, Luna, and Aiden.
As Everyone was running after the Eternal Blade, Eiera turned her neck and saw. Bright red eyes were following them. "NightFalare!" Eiera throws the fireball toward the eyes while running. She saw countless Spellhounds following them and gradually closing in on them.
Eiera then looked ahead and saw the end of the aisle in which they were running. Her hopes were high as she thought to see Kai on the other side of the aisle.
Everyone increased their speed as they got closer to the end of the first aisle. As everyone reached the end of the aisle, they saw nothing except darkness. It was the same area that Kai had entered before, but it was completely dark; no light was stopping the Spellhound from entering that area.
Even the Eternal Blade had no idea where Kai was. It stopped moving in that small area. The Scorchers, Eiera, and Aiden formed a circle around Rin and the Eternal Blade, as they were surrounded by the Spellhounds from each direction.
"We have to fight. There is no other choice," Eiera said.
As Eiera said, both Scorchers took a fighting stance, and Aiden pulled out his sword, but one of his hands was unusable due to the Eternal Blade.
"I have to use that weapon," Eiera said to herself.
As Eiera spoke, she started to channel her magic into her right arm. A sword started to form in her arm. Eiera had summoned a sword for her, but the sword's size was twice as small as the normal sword.
The Spellhounds transformed into their ugly human form and laughed at Eiera's sword. "Is That All You Got!!" They mocked Eiera.
But Eiera was not bothered by Spellhounds at all. She pointed the tip of the sword towards one of the Spellhounds and channeled her energy into the sword.
The Sword tip started to grow. It lunged towards the Spellhound and surrounded him like a serpent. The sword had captured the Spellhound like a serpent, and then the sword cut the Spellhound in half.
The Scorchers looked at Eiera's sword. They identified her sword and said, "Phantom Lash..."
The Scorcehr's hope rose, and they started to tackle one Spellhound each. Eiera also ran towards the Spellhounds. As she was running, her sword was going left to right, cutting any Spellhounds in her way.
Meanwhile, Aiden stood near Rin, Luna, and the injured Scorcher, ready to attack any Spellhound who dared come near him.
The Scorchers had each defeated a Spellhound, while Eiera had taken down ten of them. However, when Eiera turned around, she was horrified to see that the Spellhounds she had defeated with her Phantom Lash were regenerating. The ten defeated Spellhounds had come back to life and had doubled in number, growing into twenty Spellhounds.
The Spellhounds the Scorchers had taken down grew back into four Spellhounds. They started to bite the Scorcher's body and overpowering them in numbers.
Then Eiera saw a Spellhound approaching towards Aiden. She tried to use her sword, but before she could use it, a Spellhound appeared behind her in his hound form. The Spellhound used his big nails to attack Eiera's hand in which she was holding her sword.
The Spelhound's nail cut through Eiera's armor and gave her a brutal scratch on her shoulder. "AHHHHHHHHHH!!" Eiera screamed in pain and fell to the ground.
As Eiera fell on the floor, the Spellhound who scratched her pushed her sword away. Then, twenty Spellhounds surrounded Eiera in a circle gradually, closing in on her.
Meanwhile, The Spellhounds who were approaching Aiden said. "Move, I want her!!" The Spellhound wanted Rin.
But Aiden denied and stood his ground. The Spellhound grew angry at Aiden's denial. The Spellhound grew its size by fifty feet. But Aiden still stood his ground.
"It is my fault they got stuck in this. I couldn't protect Eiera, but I will protect Rin," Aiden said to himself.
With a fierce battle cry, Aiden ran towards the Spellhound. But the Spellhound effortlessly slapped Aiden into a wall. As Aiden hit the wall, he lost consciousness.
The Spellhound then walked towards Rin. Rin tried to run away, but the Spellhound size was so big that it grabbed Rin with his hand and lifted her in the air.
"LET ME GO!!" Rin pleaded to the Spellhound.
But the Spellhound showed no mercy. He raised her towards his mouth and opened his mouth, ready to devour Rin at once.
