"Watchers, they are here, Master.." As Simon said, he teleported away.
"You didn't answer my question. Why are you looking for Eclipse Arcana Kai?" The voice echoed through the entire Eldritch Menagerie.
Kai looked around, but he saw nothing except for the Spellhounds standing in the shadows. "Why don't you ask me face to face?" Kai said.
As Kai said, noises of approaching footsteps echoed around him. In response, Kai stood up from his chair, ready to face anyone. Footsteps noise grew louder and louder after each step. Kai then spotted a mysterious man walking towards him from the shadows.
The mysterious man stepped out of the shadows. He was a giant. His height was greater than twenty feet. Even to see his face, Kai had to look at the ceiling of the Eldritch Menagerie. He is one of the watchers of the Eldritch Menagerie.
The Watcher continues to walk, but with each step he takes towards Kai, his height shrinks. Now, the Watcher was barely taller than Kai as he stood before Kai.
The Watcher looked like a normal man, but his blue eyes tell Kai. He is more than a giant, his ten-inches long-white beard says. He knows all the secrets of Astra.
Before Kai could say anything, the Watcher suddenly hugged Kai and started to pat Kai's back like a father proudly patting his son's back.
"It's been so long, Kai. Since we last met." The Watcher said.
Kai didn't seem to mind the Watcher hugging him. "It's only been a month for me, Mr. L, but It's hard to keep count of time for you," Kai said.
"Is Mr. Z gone?" Kai asked.
As Kai asked, Mr. Ls, the Watcher's, eyes color turned from blue to brown color. An Evil grin appeared on his face while he was hugging Kai. Mr. L materializes a dagger in his left hand as he was patting Kai with his other hand.
Mr. L tried to stab Kai, but before the dagger tip could touch Kai's back. Mr. L's hand was in Kai's firm grip. "It's good to see you too, Mr. Z."
As Kai said, he breaks the hug. "Fast as ever, I like it." Mr. L's voice completely just like his eyes color.
Before Kai could respond, Simon teleported next to Kai. He asked, "Master, you know the watchers?"
Kai responded with a casual tone, "Who do you think made my blood the key to here?" Kai pointed towards Mr. L and said, "It was them, the Watchers of the Eldritch Menagerie."
"That's a relief. I thought you were going to fight the Watchers." As Simon said, he realized something was wrong. "Master, aren't there supposed to be two Watchers."
"Yes, there are two Watchers, and both of them are standing in front of you right now." Kai continued, "You see, they are two souls in one body. When their eye color turned brown, that means you are talking to Mr. Z. If their eye color is blue, that means you are talking to Mr. L. "
Before Simon could respond to Kai, Mr. Z said, "Kai, it was quite funny to watch him when he was looking for your books and trying to hide from us."
"I bet it was," Kai said.
Mr. L said, "Now, for the reason. Kai, you came here." Mr. L continued, "Why do you want to find Eclipse Arcana?"
"You already know the answer. So, why bother asking." Kai stated.
"I Suppose talking won't change your mind, and we can't send you empty-handed. Have a seat, my boy. We'll tell you everything you need to know for this journey." Mr. L said.
As Kai proceeds to sit on the wooden chair, a drop of blood drips from Kai's hand onto the floor.
Mr. L notices Kai's injured hand. He rushes to Kai, grabbing his hand gently and casting a spell. "Heaven's touch!" After casting the spell, Kai's hand was still bleeding.
"You are forgetting something. My wounds can't be healed by magic," Kai said
After hearing Kai's words, Mr. L remembered Kai's immunity to magic. He extended his other arm and materialized a bandage in his palm. He gently wrapped around Kai's hand.
"Come sit, Kai," Mr. L said.
Kai sat on the chair, and Mr. L sat across from him on the other side of the table while Simon stood next to Kai.
Mr. L said, "Before we begin, Kai. how is Eiera, Rin and Luna?"
"You, watch them every second. You know how they are better than anyone. Right now, you are just delaying me." Kai stated.
"You read him like a book," Mr. Z took over the body and said.
"I can read his mind. He will not tell you about Eclipse Arcana, but I will." Mr. Z said.
As Mr. Z said, he picked up the book. That has the details on how to protect against Dark magic. "The answer you were looking in this book is not written in it. Not only this book, but all the books that are present here have no information about the spells those rogues use against you."
"But you have the answer!" Kai said.
"Yes, we do have the answer, and it's pretty simple. Before I give you the answer, I want to see your face." Mr. Z demanded.
"Fine," Kai removed his mask and put it on the table. Revealing his crystal-clear face to Mr. Z.
"Kai, this is for you," As Mr. Z said. A mask materializes on the table before Kai. The mask was identical to Kai's original mask. It even had the same symbol engraved on it, but its color was whiter than the milk.
Kai picked up the mask and quickly analyzed it. "Made of pure Nocturnium, just to control my anger." Kai then looked at Mr. Z and said, "My answer now."
Mr. Z tried to stall Kai and didn't answer him, "If both of you are not going to answer me. Then what's the point of me coming here." Kai said.
As Kai said, he grabbed his mask and stood up from the chair. "Let's go, Simon. They won't tell us anything. We can find our answers somewhere else." Kai began to walk away.
As Kai and Simon were walking away, Mr. L took over and said, "Kai, wait! Listen to us."
"We will tell you everything we know, but then you have to rethink about going on this journey." Mr. L said.
Kai sat back on the chair and said, "I'm listening."
Mr. L began, "Those rogues you fought that day. We're not ordinary rogues, and that spell their leader used against you was also not an ordinary spell. That spell has no counter spell here because it was not created in this realm."
Kai asked, "Then where it was created?"
"Those rogues and that spell are from the Dark realm..."
