The person standing behind Kai is none other than the Rogue leader Kai had killed him earlier. Kai's muscles tensed he couldn't believe his eyes. There was not a single injury on the rogue leader.
Before Kai could do anything, the rogue leader smirked and said. "Boys, The village hero has arrived. Come join me." As the rogue leader's voice echoed through the village center, several men emerged from the villager's houses. Kai's eyes widened in disbelief as he recognized the rogues he had killed earlier.
The village atmosphere grew tense as the rogues surrounded Kai by forming a circle around him. The rogue leader smirked as he spoke, "Let's finish what you have started."
The rogues raised their hands in unison, chanting a powerful spell. "Azure Inferno!" the rogues called out, launching a torrent of intense blue flames directly toward Kai.
The blue flames struck Kai with immense force, engulfing him in a blaze of fire. A thick cloud of smoke billowed up, obscuring the scene. The rogue leader and his men watched with satisfaction that their spell had overpowered Kai. Smiles of grim satisfaction spread across their faces as they waited for the sight of their defeated foe.
The rogues eagerly wait for the smoke to fade as the smoke begins to fade. To their shock, Kai was standing like a wall. There was not even a scratch on him.
Kai smirked and said, "Didn't you try that spell earlier?" His voice was mocking the rogues. The satisfaction on the rogue's face vanished, replaced by disbelief.
The rogues prepared to cast another spell. However, Kai's voice cut through their preparations, demanding attention. "Listen to me before we start. I want to talk to you guys rather than fight. I'm sure you have some questions to ask. I also have some questions that I need answers. Let's talk it out."
The rogue leader is visibly confused by Kai's actions. "You really don't want to fight?" he questioned.
Kai responded, "Didn't you hear me in the first place? After all, fighting you right now is pointless." Kai placed his sword on the ground and continued, "I'm going to get a chair."
Kai settled into his chair, his eyes fixing on the rogues with a menacing gaze. "Get your leader a chair," he commanded a few of the rogues.
The rogue leader, now seated across Kai. Kai's gaze looked at the rogue leader he said. "You go first and ask any question."
The rogue leader hesitated, unsure how to proceed.
"Fine," Kai said, he breaks his silence. "I'll tell myself don't bother asking anymore."
Kai leaned backward, his eyes locked on the rogue leader. "Well, you might been thinking, why your magic, is useless against me? The answer is quite simple not only does your magic work against me, but no one in the entire astra can even pluck a single hair from my head with their magic."
The rogue leader murmured, "It's impossible." His voice was so low that Kai couldn't hear him.
Kai smirked and said, "Your question was answered, and mine as well, let's begin shall we."
"Wait," the rogue leader stammered, his voice betraying his unease. "But, you asked nothing."
Kai nodded slowly, "Yes, but your face tells everything."
Kai spoke, "First of all, if you were smart you wouldn't come back. That means You were sent here by someone, someone strong, someone you fear. You knew I would be here, but you still came back." The rogue leader sweats as Kai talks, one rogue came forward he demanded. "STOP RIGHT NOW."
Kai was unbothered by the rogue interference. "That means you are looking for something the look on your face tells me you still haven't found it," The rogue pulled out his sword and said. "I told you to stop."
In an Instance the rogue who tried interfered was fallen on the ground with a broken jaw. There were dust in the air, but Kai was still sitting on his chair as he spoke again. "And that's why you came back even knowing your death is standing here."
"Death! You can't kill us. you already tried that earlier, didn't you? WE ARE IMMORTALS, NO ONE CAN KILL US!" The rogue leader laughed at Kai as he spoke.
Kai started laughing with the rogue leader. Kai's unexpected laughter cut through the tension like a sudden gust of wind. The rogue leader stopped laughing as he heard Kai's laughter.
"What are you laughing for?" The rogue leader asked Kai.
Kai stopped his laughter as he responded, "Immortal, nice joke you're no immortal you used a woman as a shield to run." Kai picked up his sword from the ground and continued. "Immortal huh tell me do Immortals feel pain."
With a swift motion, Kai hurled his sword at one of the rogues, the blade finding its mark with deadly accuracy. The rogue's eyes widened in shock as the sword pierced through his chest the rogue fell to the ground as the sword pierced his chest, The rogue leader was shocked by Kai's action.
"Immortals don't bleed, they don't feel pain," Kai stated calmly.
Kai extended his arm towards his sword, calling it with a silent command. The sword responded to his master. The sword left the rogue chest and landed in Kai's hand.
"Don't worry he will be ok," Kai said to the rogue leader as he continued. "You are no immortal. Your boss who has sent you is only resurrecting you, but that doesn't take your pain and suffering away."
The rogue leader had no words to say, Kai stood up from the chair, he started walking around the rogue leader's chair. "You were confident of being Immortal, that also means normal weapons don't work on you, but have you ever face the wielder of the Eternal Blade."
