The joyful chirping of insects and the warbling of the larks could be heard. It was a good morning on Mt. Flame.
In an ant nest about 1km away, a strange phenomenon took place. The swapping of 2 souls happened, it was between an ant and a man.
The man who turned into an ant, Liam was affected quite severely. He had family and friends with a pet dog he named 'Lucky,' now he was just supposed to leave them behind like nothing happened.
Of course it wasn't out of the blue, Liam had hit his head badly and went to the hospital where he later died of blood loss.
'This doesn't even make sense...I'm an ant for crying out loud! How the hell does an ant live? I know they are workers so will I be killed if I don't work?'
Liam frantically searched for a way to leave the ant nest, he wanted to leave and see what the world looked like and also to get out of doing any sort of assignment.
After a few minutes of searching, he managed to find a trace of light coming from a tunnel and went in without thinking twice.
There he found a strange black rock that was emanating a strange dark energy.
'What are you?'
He questioned it in his mind as he was unable to talk. He tried to bite it with his mandible but it did nothing.
Until..
'Ah! Fuck.. what was she bright light?! Damn, it feels like my head is going to explode..'
It seemed to explode into a bunch of light that blinded Liam. But what he didn't see was the light rushing into each part of his body.
First, it rushed into his head causing his mind to erupt in pain and his antennae to become more sensative. Next came his thorax which caused a strange numb sensation and his legs felt stronger and more durable.
Finally, the rest of the light entered his abdomen. He couldn't feel anything but a key difference could be seen.
His abdomen had grown a small stinger and some type of trange venom had also started to be produced in it.
'What is going on? First I turn into an ant and now a strange magic rock is harassing me..'
Liam tried to grab his sore head with his front legs out of instinct and found that his legs were much stronger.
'What was that stone? It just turned me into the superman of ants!'
Before Liam could go test it, he saw a strange floating screen in front of him.

'Levels, stats, evolution, skills? What is all of this stuff? It's all from games, how am I seeing this?'
But Liam didn't think about it more than that, if he was getting a bonus why would he question it?
He excitedly exited the room he wa sin and made his way out of the nest, he finally made it after trying a few times.
Once he got outside, he could see tall flowers , the trees looked otherworldly and most importantly, he felt free.
'This won't be so bad, I'll just level up and become a demon lord or something.'
His thoughts got interrupted by a strange red arrow pointing northeast. It seemed to be pointing somewhere far since the arrow didn't move even when he climbed up as high as he could.
'I wonder what it leads to? I have to be careful about this, I'm an ant and any big insect could kill me."
Liam's curiosity got the best of him and he started to make his long journey to the end of where the arrow was pointing.
...
'It's been a day at least, I'm finally almost there. I can see it! Another one of those black stones!'
Upon seeing the familiar rock, he got ready to absorb it and become even stronger.

'Huh?? That's stupid! I took a perilous journey to get here!'
As he complained inwardly, a large green Mantis snuck up behind him. It had large beady eyes and looked hungry.
Liam seemed to see it in thr corner of his vision and immediately jumped back. This confused the Mantis who never saw any ants that could jump 1 feet away. Actually, it had never seen an ant jump to begin with.
His mandibles clicked together as he slowly approached the Mantis, but instead of backing away the Mantis ran straight for him.
'Idiot! Take my ultimate attack! STING!"
In an instant, Liam activated one of his skills 'sting' that injects the enemy with paralyzing venom and deals high damage to their insides.
The painful hiss of the Mantis sounded like music to the bloodthirsty ant.
After that, he just continually used his 'Bite' skill to finish the job.
