Day 3 continuation:
Nina gazed over to where the neighing came from as she nodded to Kyoto, to bring them out front. Kyoto complied dashing over the gravel road around the back of the bar, he came back with two horses one with a black coat, and white dots towards its rear, and the other with a brown coat and white hair.
"Great, now hop on!" Nina, says with an enthusiastic smile, taking the one with the black coat by the lead and offering it a spare apple she saved. Kyoto hesitated with a nervous grin.
"Now, might be the time to tell you I don't know how to ride a horse..." He announced, as Nina, stopped in her tracks turning to Kyoto with a look of disbelief.
"You, a General, that is on the run, don't know how to ride a horse?..." She says, not believing his statement.
"Look, I was fourteen no one wasted the time to teach me!..."
She let out an agitated sigh while motioning for him to hop on the back of her horse. After, that whole ordeal they were off to Nenno Village.
Day 4:
On the way there, they passed a variety of different bars, taverns, and shopping markets. Eventually, stopping infront of a market just outside a nearby Village so they can buy a room to sleep in. The Market was bustling with trade vendors, snack bars, and small clothing shops. The duo were expecting jewelry shops but nothing of the sorts seem to be around.
"What should we check out first?" Questioned Nina, with a look of curiosity, sketching out each of the shops to save in her notepad. Kyoto's, eyes wandered the path of shops and markets soon landing on a small clothing shop that seemed rather new.
"I could go get us some clothes, you go check out some other things around here." He says glancing behind him at Nina whose smile said everything he needed to know. "We'll meet back here before noon."
Nina, nodded making her way over to a puppeteer who had a bunch of people to entertain. Kyoto smiled making his way over to the clothing shop intrigued to see what they have in stock.
"Welcome sir, please take a look around." Said the store owner, realizing Kyoto's presences. Kyoto, gave the man a quick smile before making his way around the shop.
You would be surprised how fast time flies when your shopping before he knew it was almost noon. He gave the store owner five gold coins before exiting the store in a hurry. The streets were crowded with hunters and wandering traders of all sorts it took a while for Kyoto, to make it back.
"What took you so long?" Asked Nina, who had already made her way back leaning against the wall of an old building.
"I almost got trampled by those people..." He says exhausted, stretching his arms.
"I passed by a Tavern owner who offered to let us stay the night, since he has spare rooms." Nina, says with a sigh clearly done with Kyoto's antics. She pointed over to a awfully small building with a open sign hanging on its tall wooden door. Kyoto, wasn't use to living in small spaces so he looked a little anxious but followed Nina, nonetheless.
A middle aged man opened door, clearly expecting Nina, and Kyoto. "Welcome, I'm Tomo, please come in." Said this so called Tomo, with a friendly smile. Kyoto, still didn't trust him.
"Thank you Sir, for your hospitality!" Replied Nina, respectfully as she followed Tomo inside, Kyoto followed behind her glancing around the places it seemed quite popular despite its condition.
"I'll pour you guys a drink, what would you like?" He asked walking behind the counter getting bottles ready.
"Strawberry lemonade, will do!" Answered Nina, with a amused smile.
"I'll have the same." Says Kyoto.
After, the drinks they felt more refreshed, more alive then ever on this journey for freedom. It almost seems unattainable...
"Now, I'll show you guys your rooms!" Said Tomo, gesturing for them to follow him upstairs.
They followed him upstairs as he rambled on about his wife and two kids, apparently he used to be a archer even though he doesn't look like the type. He was rather short, with delicate skin even though he had more masculine facial features.
Nina, got her room first it was small but had the basic needs inside. Next, was Kyoto's room it was a little bigger than Nina's but had less things inside.
"Hope, it's to your liking!" Says Tomo, with a proud smile leaning against the doorframe of Kyoto's, room.
"It's nice, thank you Sir..." replied Kyoto, not used to thanking people as kind as Tomo.
"Great I'll be downstairs if you need anything."
After, that Tomo left with a joyful smile across his face, it creeped Kyoto, out a bit. How could someone be so....happy?
